Let's take a quick break from checking out all of the Fall 2011 goodies and zoom in on Derek Lam's cheap(er) Spring 2011 collection for eBay, which just debuted yesterday during NYFW at the beautiful Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center. Sixteen Summer-perfect dresses were displayed, ranging from colorful cotton poplin numbers to wispy bohemian floral frocks, which, by the way, were all styled with Lam's amazing patent flatforms. Lam also concocted a couple of black-tie-appropriate gowns for those looking for something dressier. And guess what? All of the dresses are set to retail from $125 to $295 — much cheaper than Lam's signature line! However, there's a catch: only five of these pretties will be produced for purchase.
