Designer Spotlight: Whistle & Flute
Designer Spotlight: Whistle & Flute

Whistle & Flute, a collaboration between Yoon Chang and Je-Won Hwang, is based on the melding of masculine and feminine. The sharp lines of a 1960s London gangster meets the sexiness of Anita Pallenberg, an actress, model, designer and onetime common-law wife of Keith Richards.
Yoon moved from Toronto to NYC to attend Parsons School of Design and was singled out from her graduating class to be a part of Cynthia Steffe's design team. There she met Je-Won, then the merchandising director. In 2007, they founded Whistle & Flute, which means "suit" in English slang. Purchase pieces, ranging from $250 to $300, at Big Drop NYC or by finding a store near you.
