Designer Spotlight: Wren

If nothing else, Melissa Coker knows the fashion industry. She has quite the resume after interning at Helmut Lang and W magazine, designing for Old Navy, and working in editorial at Vogue. So when she set her mind on launching her own line, Wren, it was a no-brainer.
The LA-based designer named her label after a Charles Dickens character, Jenny Wren, a crippled doll dressmaker with a good heart, and wove nuances of Jenny's personality into the line. For her Spring collection, which showed during LA fashion week, she combined old-world romanticism with California sensibility for a feminine collection in sherbet colors.
Wren is available at Ron Herman.
