Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2013

Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2013

Diane von Furstenberg made her name as a designer in the '70s with her iconic wrap dress, and for Fall 2013, she returned to her roots, opening her show with a printed version of her iconic dress. With pulsating disco on the soundtrack, DVF was filled with slinky jersey dresses, colorblocked jumpsuits, halter dresses, and more pieces that could have felt as at home at Studio 54 as they will in the chicest hot spots of today. And don't worry, there was still plenty to wear to work for the women who depend on her to fill their wardrobes with wearable dresses. And in an unusual move for any designer, von Furstenberg walked the entire length of the U-shaped runway at Lincoln Center to the strains of Chaka Khan's "I'm Every Woman," waving and pausing for air kisses along the way.
