This Dirty Librarian Chains Dewy Gold Sunglass Chain ($77) is a cross between librarian chic and ghetto Fab. I like the idea. Sometimes, like when I'm cruising on my yacht, I fear losing my shades to the deep blue seas. Yeah, right. But really sometimes I do fear losing my shades and this would be a safety net. Or is this totally ridic?

Wow. I LOVE this idea. Im from South Carolina where EVERYONE wears croakies, and while i love my southern staples (pearls, sundresses, etc.) i cannot stand croakies... but sometimes you actually need them. I recently lost my $350 Chanel sunglasses, the ones with the coveted mother-of-pearl logo. I tend to lose anything that isn't somehow chained/attached/strapped to my body so I would definitely get these

Funny, I do not associate aged woman with tacky. I think tacky does not discriminate and is often seen in women of all ages. I sorta like these actually. I think the right person and the right outfit and this would look cool. The model above doesn't quite pull them off, however. Putting your sunglasses on your head isn't exactly a fashion "do" (cases... use them!) or good for the glasses. My apologies to Fab's avatar.

Love it, as someone who wears prescription glasses I think it would be stylish to have them on this chain. I like the silver tone and black and white that Dirty Librarian has on their site!

I probably wouldn't wear this because it seems a little old fashioned and I would definetely not buy it for that much. Yikes!!

i always have fear of losing my sunglasses too, but this is really unattractive mostly because the gold chain wouldn't go with most trendy sunglasses! if it was black or silver and a little cooler, then maybe

I'm undecided. They look kind of cool, but at the same time having a chain for your sunglasses seems a little silly -- I just plop mine down on my head!
