My mother shops exclusively for Clinique products. She only ever buys their skin products, and only during the months when they have gift bag promotions. As a result, there are piles of
makeup bags around the house, and she has many many many shades and hues of cosmetics!
i wouldnt say i shop more, but i decide when to shop differently. if i needed to restock my clinique 3 step skincare, ill try and time it around when they have bonus time (gift with
purchase). im buying it anyway, might as well get free stuff too. i subscribe to email lists so i know when buy1get1 at express or any other store is on, or if you get a gift with purchase at
bcbg or whatnot, so if i need something i keep a lookout for those first.

1I wouldn't either however if I am shopping in my store and am on the fence about a purchase it will certainly help make my decision.

3Ah yes, I remember the "free toddler with purchase" promotion.
I used to go for freebies, but now I hardly shop at all — and I buy only what I really really really want or need. So, nah, not so much anymore.
4I also had to kick that habit of the freebies. But getting free samples with out purchase is great.
