Do You Mind Overexposure on the Runway?

There was quite a bit of nippleage on the New York runways last week. According to the New York Times, the models didn't mind and it may be a political statement. Interesting . . . I don't mind — do you?

i remember as a kid i used to watch fashion television and be all riled up by the nipplage because it was on in the middle of the day on tv! but now, i don't mind, it's just a part of high fashion

I don't mind it at all, it's very much a part of fashion, in my opinion. If I saw somebody walking down the street looking like that I would probably have a different opinion, lol.

Ha is real life...these models don't look like real life and thats the point. Isn't the justification of their thinness that they're supposed to be like hangers. Anyways all that aside it doesn't bother me. In Portland, Oregon a woman can be topless anywhere a man can be. I think its ridiculous to think a tiny bikini top is exceptable and that its just the nipple that makes it explicit.

How old are these models? I know a model who was in shows at fashion week who is 15 (she looks way older when modeling). So, yeah, not knowing if these models are as old as they look, I mind this a lot.

It's fine on the runway, but I don't really see the point in creating clothes like that. They aren't really wearable except on the runway... I mean, I can see wearing any of these designs if they covered the boobs. But it's just not marketable with everything showing.

I don't mind it, but I do mind it on the Sugar network. I like to check this site at work and it's not good for me to have NSFW images pop up unexpectedly! I had to stop looking at Pop because of it's pictures of Sienna and Balthazar, and now I'm going to have to do the same with Fab! Can you at least put these types of images after the jump? I'm really disappointed that Fab is no longer a site I can safely go to during the work day.

I don't mind it, I just wish it was done in a more realistic way, how many people would really dress like this? I think the blue dress dose it right, but the other two are too miss-match.

I think that if you have small boobs and can go braless, it can be really sexy if it's subtle (like the Wang in the middle). I think the marc jacobs one is just a little too overt for real life though, and I'm undecided about the Preen.

It just seems like they are doing it for shock value and nothing else- why not just have them totally topless?

The human body is beautiful and that is why fashions shows are shows, they are not intended to be exactly reproduced on every day life.

I have never thought about it, it doesn't bother me, but I would like to see them wear a bra, that way I know how it looks with a bra on. in real life I wouldn't wear a see through with out a bra

I said "sorta yeah." It's not that I'm bothered by the female body, but it seems like designers always want to make a statement by showing off their model's nipplage. It's not like I haven't seen them before, but I would really like to focus on the outfit, not the model's boobs!
