"I don't even feel like I'm carrying a purse"??? I wish I felt this way. I carry it on my shoulder because I feel like it's the most protective position. I'm paranoid my stuff will get
snatched. Plus it keeps my hands free.
Unfortunately, I have no shoulders. Seriously, they are tiny. My bra straps, when fitted tightly against my shoulders still slip. All of my purses fall off. It is the most irritating thing.
But yes, I'd prefer it to be on my shoulders if it would stay -- and if it didn't have a tendency to add more weight to my back.
shoulder. in my hand or on my arm it just feels like i have less control. actually i just can't use my hands as much and i like to feel like i can use my hands freely.
i like the look of it on your arm but after a while i feel like an idiot keeping my arm bent. It's just not natural and looks posed but in a chic Victoria Beckham sort of way , lol.
I've made myself get in the habit of carrying it on my arm. I used to carry it on my shoulder, but I ended up having random shoulder pains and figured that was the cause. All better now.
I always get purses that have a cross-body strap option besides the handles. Leaves my hands free when I am shopping, doesn't slip off the shoulder and keeps it secure.
If I'm carrying my shoulder bag its on the shoulder, sometimes arm.
If I'm carrying a clutch then it's in hand and if it has a strap then that's around my wrist.
i carry it on my arm as well cause in the summer having a large bag against my body makes me sweaty and hot, in the fall/winter i tend to carry it on my shoulder, i feel cozy and warm that
way.

Cat Deeley looked casual and cute outside the BBC Radio One studios in London. She wore Hudson black skinny jeans and kept warm with a feminine white pom pom scarf and soft green leather jacket (similar in color to this one by Tory Burch), adding a Pauric Sweeney python bag and tough combat boots to give the look more of an edge.

1Shoulder, I feel its best protected that way.
2Depending on the purse i carry it on either my arm or my shoulder...
3I love how they look when I carry them in my arm, but is more comfortable to put in on my shoulder
4Shoulder, of course.
5"Arm . . . so much more comfortable!" It is not comfortable. Look at that pic, this is the worst way to carry a bag.
It's a shoulder thing for me. I saw a girl get her purse stolen because she had it on her arm; the guy just snatched it right off.
6Shoulder for most of the time, but sometimes, I like to carry a bag on my arm.

8definitely shoulder - safest, I think it looks best, and I don't find it uncomfortable - I have broad shoulders.
9I don't like the way bags look on arms, it tends to give off a snooty impression...imo anyway.
10Always arms. I'm not even sure why...probably just habit.
11i carry a cute wallet that has all i need in it
12Shoulder. I need to be clutching it closely on the subway, streets, etc.
13normally shoulder... but it gets quite heavy with all the textbooks. occasionally arm, but it always leaves red marks on my forearm
14shoulder. in my hand or on my arm it just feels like i have less control. actually i just can't use my hands as much and i like to feel like i can use my hands freely.
15Arm. Its a more classic look.

17Shoulder, but I love holding a clutch !
18Shoulder definitely, I usually only buy purses with long straps so I can sling it diagonally across my body. I hate not having my hands free.
19Shoulder...
20Shoulder, it feels the most safe...
21Usually arm but sometimes shoulder
22Carry by hand. I've been into satchel bags lately, they're better suited for my petite frame.
23I've made myself get in the habit of carrying it on my arm. I used to carry it on my shoulder, but I ended up having random shoulder pains and figured that was the cause. All better now.
24I carry my bag on my arm. When I carry it on my shoulder I feel like it adds unwanted bulk to my look.
25Shoulder is what I do naturally, but I prefer the look of it on my arm. I just don't have a clue what to do with my hand with my arm bent like that...
26I always get purses that have a cross-body strap option besides the handles. Leaves my hands free when I am shopping, doesn't slip off the shoulder and keeps it secure.

I love carrying it on my arm. The pose almost gives me a sense of empowerment! I feel more confident, for some reason.

30I carry my purse on my arm if it's a really nice purse.
31I voted hand, because I do prefer this. HOWEVER, I always carry it on my shoulder because I live in a big city. Keep it close!
32Arm.
33I always use to hang at the back as it sets your hands free
34ARM
35I like it across the body
