Do You Wear Heels to Look Taller?

They make my legs look 100 times longer. Some outfits just don't work with flats.

I tend to alternate between my Chuck Taylors and four inch heels. I love my boots but I don't always feel like wearing them to uni where I'm up and down hills all day.

Sometimes...I'm only 5'4", so I could use a little more height! But honestly, being short doesn't bother me too much. I wear flats just as often as I wear heels.

Nope.. I just love heels! They make me feel sexy and give me that extra confidence. I'm 5'7'' which isn't too short so I wear flats sometimes too, but I usually wear heels. I believe they just complete the look of my outfit more.

I'm 5'4" so I like wearing heals to make me look taller, but I also just love wearing heals. Even though I'm a stay at home Mom, even my casual boots that I wear most often with my jeans have a 2.5 inch heal. I will wear flats though if an outfit calls for them.

Sometimes. Even though I'm quite short (5'2"), I still enjoy wearing flats or sandals with low heels. For me, heels are just for going out. I should probably rethink that though.

I'm not that tall (just under 5'3") and own a bunch of heels that are pretty and make me look much taller, but I don't wear them often considering where I live (New England). Cobblestone sidewalks and heels do not go well together.

Ballerina flats are my default shoe, but I tend to wear heels when I feel like I need a little "boost" of confidence. They definitely do improve posture and make you feel more confident.

I don't wear heels to look taller because I'm a relatively normal height (5'6")... they just look amazing.

My two sisters were shorter than me, and we were always up front in church as kids, so I never wore heels so I wouldn't look like a giant compared to them. Now I just choose not to as a rule.

I am short at 5'2", but my legs are also disproportionately short too (a 30 inch inseam on pants is just a tad too long) so I wear the heels to make my legs look longer.

When you're 5'1" like I am, sometimes clothes just look so much better with heels! I don't do it all the time but sometimes I need the help.

I don't wear heels very often, because I love other options like ballet flats, chucks and flat boots... But when I do wear them is because I like them, not for the extra height. I'm comfortable being on the short side (5'5'').

Nope, I'm 5'2, proud, and a lover of high heels! Simple.

I'm 5'7" and I often wear flats (sneakers in winter and havaianas in summer are a must for walking) but I love wearing heels too - albeit comfortable ones. I have a few pair of boots with 3-3,5" steady heels and they are my favourite both for work and going out. I feel more confident and walk in a more ... feminine way

I love my flats, and i'm about 5'7" so I don't really NEED the extra height, but I agree that some outfits just need heels to pull everything together!

@ 5'10, I don't really need to be taller, but I love the way they make my legs look!

I'm 5'8-5'9 so I already feel like a giant, aka I have big person syndrome. Flats it is for me! Although I do adore the heels I own

Everyone who's saying they're short at 5'4" and 5'5" are cracking me up. lol. The average American woman is 5'4".

No, because I'm six feet tall, so I don't really need them. Plus, their evil for womens feet, no matter how pretty they look.

I'm 5'2 so I wear heels to be taller, but I'm still not used to them and I can't wear them if I need to walk a lot. So I wear flats most of the time.

Heels are sexy! I hate it when my heels dig in the grass and stuff...so I avoid them sometimes, but there is nothing better to finish a look!

I do not wear heels to wear taller, the heels just fit my look, my body, I have been wearing heels since I was... 13!
I love how my legs look in heels, I am very good at walking in them, they are just part of me at this point I imagine if the people who know me would see me in flat shoes or sneakers they would be very confused!

Even though I'm not that tall, I just like wearing them.
