I have to wear glasses for reading, and when I pick out frames, I always pick out the largest plastic frame I can find If I have to wear them, I wear them loud and proud !!

I wear contacts because my eyesight is terrible. My prescription is so strong that even the "thin" and "featherweight" lenses bulge out of the frames and make my eyes look tiny, so I don't use glasses. I guess glasses could look okay if I wore them with nonprescription lenses over my contacts, but what's the point?

As kid I wore glasses, but I wear contacts now. I would never go out of my way to wear glasses if I did not need them.

haha I'm the same as inertia... my prescription is -8.5, and I hate glasses because I have no peripheral vision with them. Contacts all the way!

I think glasses are such a fun accessory and I wish I had a few pairs! But then again, if I really needed them I probably wouldn't like them. It's one of those things...

I wear glasses, but they're definitely prescription!

I know it kind of makes someone look like a tool to wear geek glasses they don't actually need to see better, but I like them. If it didn't make me seem like a tool, I would wear them. I do like the way they look with a great outfit.

Oh my, I saw some idiot teenage girl wearing frames without any lenses not too long ago. I really had the urge to reach over and poke her eye (being someone who has to wear either glasses or contacts myself and hates it). It made me so glad to not be that young and stupid anymore if thats what kids think if hot these days. Yuck!

I have two pairs of prescription geek-chic glasses but I still do wear non RX ones just for style. My eye sight is good enough that I don't need to wear glasses at all times so I don't even bother with contacts.

I have to agree with all the prescription eyeglasses wearers above. I think anyone that has been stuck wearing glasses since third grade (as I have! with the dorkiest frames back then, too) will probably find the idea of wearing non prescription glasses as an accessory kinda strange.

i wear my glasses when my contacts are bothering my eyes. unlike some people, i wear them because i have to. i can barely see the fingers in front of me without them.
