I have super-long supermodel legs (I am six foot two) and found a WONDERFUL piece this year. Leather spats! They go around your legs and will turn any pair of heels into boots. They are warm
too!
Jealous of your long legs, spacekat! (I'm 5'1 WITH a long torso and short legs). I'll wear open toed toes with pants and no tights/ hose, even in the winter
When I lived in Cali I would wear open toe shoes 24/7, but now that I live in the midwest, I have to wear closed toe shoe. Otherwise my tootsies would freeze! But I definitely find open toe
more free and liberating. I find closed toed shoes to be constricting.
When I lived in the south - it was open toed year round. Now that I'm in the north east, I think I'd lose a few toes to frostbite if I tried that. Open toed shoes + snow = one bad mood!
SKG - you're lucky to have such long legs! I'd rock those spats too if I had legs that long!
Where I live, we get hot summers and cold winters and I still rock open toed shoes in the winter. (Only peep toes though!) And in Jersey, its not unusual to see people in flip flops when its
20 degrees outside, especially at places like 7/11 or WaWa.
I think that open shoes with tights are just simply fugly.
i know that russians and germans wont agree with me, but...
get the right shoes for the right weather! ffs
other than straight sandals, I hate open-toe shoes. I wish I could wear flat sandals with everything, but if I'm dressing up I always prefer closed heels or boots - I especially hate
peep-toes. but luckily I live in California so I can wear sandals pretty much whenever I want...

Cat Deeley looked casual and cute outside the BBC Radio One studios in London. She wore Hudson black skinny jeans and kept warm with a feminine white pom pom scarf and soft green leather jacket (similar in color to this one by Tory Burch), adding a Pauric Sweeney python bag and tough combat boots to give the look more of an edge.

4In Florida its warm enough almost year round to get away with open toes.

7Luckily winter in California allows me to wear open toed shoes all the time!
8I love in Montreal. Go figure. Doctors would have to amputate my feet if I wear open toe shoes all year round.

agree nancyo - open toes with tights are a total style nono
11Also agree. Slouch boots are a much better choice.
12No...way too cold for that here in Massachusetts.
13In snow? Don't be foolish.
14too cold, but if i'm going to a formal event, i sometimes do (peeptoes only). some dresses just do not look good with closed toes
