It's official: Doc Martens are back in style, and from the looks of things, it's only going to get bigger. The iconic '90s shoe — you know you had a pair — has resurfaced with new styles and designer collaborations. Last year, the brand was overwhelmingly successful with its kimono-print collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto. Now, the company announced a special capsule collection with Raf Simons. Even the stylish Johnny Depp reportedly ordered Doc Martens as party favors for his daughter’s birthday party earlier this year. Check out their bright Spring offerings below. Wicked. The OLD Doc's were rad back in the day. I'm a fan of styles re-emerging because they re-emerge for a reason! However, what I'm not a fan of is great companies like this (e.g. UGG and Lululemon) that once had a strong product move their manufacturing into places like China and Thailand. EVERYTHING but the cost declines when a company does that: the quality, the ethics, the leather and the treatment of their employees and the animals from where the materials come from.Can't pull the wool over my eyes Doc!For those of you who do care, do a bit of reading on the manufacturing of Docs (and others) and see what you come up with. Might find yourself unable to support such a poorly made boot.

i love them lol but only the classic black ones. not into the neon but i can see why someone would like it. i tend to gravitate towards black and other dark colors so the neon is not for me. i'm in college now and never got to do the grunge thing in high school (went to all girls school in nyc so i was pretty prepped-out) so i'm not tired of doc's

I've still got my forest green DOCs that I bought in 10th grade. I was just thinking maybe I should give them to charity since I haven't worn them in years. I also still have brown Doc oxfords and I think I might have some of those iconic brown Doc sandals somewhere. I wore tons of Docs in high school because back then you couldn't find size 11 shoes for your life; I had to wear men's. Docs were great for that.

Ugh, NO. I was in high school during the whole grunge-era and lived through it once...my Doc Martens are buried in the back of my bedroom closet at my parents' house and there they will stay!

Awww!! Nostalgia attack!I used to wear mine with this camo tank dress I made and green fishnets. LOVED them!! But I had a off brand and they fell apart on me... :( Ah, to be 15 again...As much as I'd love to rock this trend again, I don't know I would. If I did, it could only be on the weekends... I work in a pretty conservative environment and combat boots probably wouldn't fly...

"Docs never went out." Agreed. Combat boots are always awesome, especially on girls. I'm currently making myself a pair of custom combat boots, though, so I won't be buying a new pair of the Docs.

When did they ever go out? I never got the memo. I've been wearing mine since the 90s. I definitely wear them a lot more than all my other shoes. They've been just about all over the world by now. They're a classic looking brown, so they go with most things. In my tomboyish days I wore them with jeans and cargo pants; now that I have a girlier aesthetic, I pair them with warm tights and skirts or dresses. I thought it might be weird to wear them with girlier stuff before I tried it, but it makes for a surprisingly good look. Especially now that they are getting this really awesome worn-in old shoe look. I've heard somewhere that really good shoes mold to your feet, this is what happened with these shoes. I only break out the stiletto heels for when I don't have to actually walk, and that's pretty much almost never. And no, the docs have not fallen apart yet. The stitches around the sole are starting to fray, but so far no damage that compromises their structural integrity, which is more than I can say for the stiletto heels that started to wear away at the heel after only ever being worn twice. Maybe I'll wait to get some bargains when the craze is over for everyone else. I'll need to be ready with a replacement when these ones fall apart some day, though it's not looking like it'll be any time soon. I wonder if they still make 'em the way they did in the 90s, though. So many brands that used to be good have gone downhill in craftsmanship in recent years (*cough* outsourced manufacturing *cough*).
