Donna Karan Collection Purple Platform Sandal: Love It or Hate It?

As you all know, I have a weakness for shoes (okay, and bags, and pretty much all clothes)...

When I first came across these Donna Karan Collection Platform Sandals, $730, I was struck by how stunning they were. I love the straps across the top, the suede, that color purple (the color of the moment), but I could definitely see how you would either love these or hate them. So tell me: do they rub you the right way?

I really like DKNY, but I don't like shoes whose toes curve up off the ground, and these do.

I love them only because I would never wear them. I want there to be clothes out there that I would never wear because I don't want a billion people on the planet wearing the same style as me!!!
