In some particularly frigid cities—I'm looking at you, New York, Chicago, and Minneapolis—it's tough to stay stylish come Winter, since hardcore bundling often means wearing a puffy, unshapely coat. But to really stay warm in these seriously cold climates, you need a serious down coat, and thankfully, wearing one no longer has to make you look like a dowdy Midwestern mom. Here are some of my favorite stylish puffy coats at both designer and non-designer prices.
Theory Bara Down Jacket, $495, available here.

Juicy Couture Peplum Puffer Jacket, $298, available here.

Via Spiga Emerald Down Fur Trim Broncio Jacket, $179, available here.
Moncler Martina Woven Coat in Brown, $830, available here.

Burton Convertible Jacket, $189.95, available in five cool color combinations here.

Miss Sixty Ivory Hooded Many Down Jacket, $137, available here.
Nine West Water-Resistant Pinch Quilted Down Coat, $128, available here.

Mossimo Red Quilted Puffy Coat in Champagne, $39.99, available here.

I love the Via Spiga, Moncler Martina, and Nine West.
1Oooh I'll LookBook my down coat. My mom just got a super cute one too. I'll LookBook that also!
2some of these are really cute, but it never gets cold enough where i live for those!
3~*~Life was Simpler back then~*~
I really like the Theory but they're all pretty cute.
4I like the Juicy & Viga Spiga.
The long ones are really excellent for keeping warm - a good buy if you live in the city.
5Via* I knew that didn't look right, lol
6If I did not live in Florida, I would be rushing out to get a couple of these.
7I just can't get past down jackets looking like comforters. They work on the ski slopes, but around town? They just add girth!
8I don't really like those coats. They seem very comfy and warm, but make look fat. It has to be really, really cold before I put one on.
9Some of them are cute.
10Hate them all. I found one down puffer coat in London that kept it slim: It had Corset detailing, but kept it fresh and non-rennaissance festival looking with lots of mettallic hardware and zippers and the the (FAUX) fur lined hood... Selfridges I think?
11I wish I had bought TWO!
