Hi, it's Allison McNamara. Welcome back to FabSugar TV. Today I'm joined by our lovely style director Noria Morales in New York City. Hi. Hi, Allison. It's that the Emmy nominations just came out, and it's sure to be a very glamorous red carpet, but there's some people we're really excited to see. So, first up, Zooey Deschanel. Last year, she wore that gorgeous pink dress, very retro. What would you like to see her in this year? Since Zooey has this great retro girly style and I expect her fully to continue that trend. A few weeks ago at the Couture week in Paris, we saw this beautiful dress from Giambattista Valli. It's this tea length floral print dress. And that to me just screams Zooey, I would love to see something like that 'cause it's such a pretty dress. She can top that up with some of her signature nail art and I think she will look excellent. Totally, I'm excited to see something really interesting, 'cause those tuxedo nails, I mean I don't know if I could ever do them, but they were great, right? Oh yeah. They're always an attention-getter. So, we have Claire Danes next and she's actually pregnant, right? Yes, she's just announced it recently, so she'll be quite pregnant by the time the Emmys roll around. Last year she wore that really beautiful sparkly Oscar de la Renta dress. But what would you see her in this year since she's pregnant? Well, it's a little bit harder to dress for the red carpet when you're supporting a big belly, but she's a muse to Francisco Costa, the designer for Calvin Klein and I'm sure that he could whip up something for her that's long and slender and is a silhouette that she likes but maybe a little give around the midsection. Do you like it when pregnant women show it off or are you more like the tent style dresses? No, I'm a big fan of picking something that hugs your body. You should celebrate being pregnant and I think that most women who do always look fabulous and I'm sure Claire will too. Well a big show this season is Girls, Actually and one of the leading ladies, Lena Dunham, was actually nominated, so, what would you like to see her in and how do you think her style's evolved?while being on the show. So, Lena's interesting, right, because she just recently started making red carpet appearances. She showed up to the Met Ball in May wearing a custom Wes Gordon dress. He's an emerging New York designer. And we haven't seen much from Lena before that. I mean, on Girls she plays sort of this like gritty Brooklyn girl. Her style could be described as frumpy on set. So we love seeing a little bit of glamour from her. She's not afraid to make bold choices, after all the Wes Gordon dress was hunter green and she paired it with her own hot pink shoes. So I think that she should go with a New York designer, maybe Jason Wu. We're all talking about him. Or go back to Wes, maybe he'll make something custom for her. Nicole Kidman is coming up, and I am such a big Nicole Kidman fan. She's been one of those women that I've just looked up to for so long. What would you like to see her in? Well, she's got that long, lean silhouette that she's famous for. She wears a lot of Lauren Scott, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that again on the red perfect for her, but you know, I'd love to see her in something maybe a little more glamorous and sexy, like something from Zac Posen. Uma Thurman's also one of those ladies that has a very Bohemian sense of style and she actually just recently had a baby. So how do you think she'll dress? She always makes really interesting choices on the red carpet, and I think that that's what sets her apart. We love her style. I think she would look great in something like this Oscar de la Renta dress that we saw on the Fall 2012 runway. It's glamorous. It's a long, lean silhouette, which is perfect because she's so tall. And it's got this interesting Bohemian print. I think that she would just look fabulous. And last up, we have Sofia Vergara who always brings her sexy to the red carpet. So one thing's for sure, we'll be seeing lots of curves, right? Oh, absolutely. I mean, Sofia Vergara is just like our resident bombshell. So, we expect to see that starlet sexiness back. I think she'll wear like a mermaid tail silhouette even though I'd love to see her in very calm, just very basic dress because I think she's so beautiful that she doesn't need all the glitz and glamour to like really have her beauty stand out. But I think she'll go for one of those one-shoulder curve-hugging mermaid-style silhouette. Yeah, it's probable. She wore Vera Wang last time and she looked gorgeous. Again, it's exactly the silhouette that you just talked about. I expect her to wear something that bang maybe Zac Posen. He did a range of beautiful mermaid-shaped dresses for Fall, or she would wear Marchesa, which she's worn in the past as well. From Resort 2013, peplum was a really big trend, and last year at the Emmy's there were red and blue dresses covering the carpet, so what do you think are going to be the big trends for this year's Emmy's? So I think this has been the year of the fit and flair dress, number one. It's been coming in cocktail length. So I don't know if we'll see that as much on the red carpet, but it's definitely the shape that a lot of red carpet celebrities have been leaning towards. And then as you mentioned, peplum. It has been on the runways for a few seasons now, it's super flattering, so I wouldn't be surprised surprised if a lot of red carpet celebrities chose that on the red carpet because it looks so good. Definitely. And I also think that, yeah, the peplum is one, really flattering, and two, we saw a lot of it at the Met Gala and I really think that can continue on for this year. I think so too. It looks great on pretty much everyone. Well, thank you so much, Noria, for joining me here, and you guys make sure you tune back in to see all our coverage of the Emmys. We'll have all the dresses as they come down the red carpet. We'll see you next time.
