FABTV: No Doubt "I'm Just a Girl"

When I heard the news that No Doubt is back in the recording studio I smiled, hard. Gwen Stefani is indeed a style setter, and her voice has a style all its own, but I liked her music much more with the band than solo. So, I'm excited for that. Then I got reminiscing back to the '90s. Why do I always venture to my teenage years? Oh yes, because it was a time when a song like this — filled with angst, female empowerment, and Fab Gwen — spoke to me, and you, and you, and you. Remember? We will always love Gwen and her curly-q, bleach-blond pony, crop tops, bindis, and unique sporty-punk style. It has evolved, but Gwen continues to transmute her girly power.

Gwen is always on top. I am over the moon that ND is recording again and that Gwen is on the way to having baby #2. I love Gwen to death but I miss the boys. They are great. Adrian,Tom,Tony,Gabe and Stephen are awesome together with Gwen. They all had side projects on their own too. Making babies and music on the side just like Gwen. It was just more mainstream for Gwen.

I'm so glad she's recording with ND again! I really prefer that to her solo work. I never got into any of the music she made on her own.

Love her, love the band, love it all. I was so young when this came out, but I listened to this music with my sister. Well, probably through the walls of our bedrooms because I wasn't cool enough to join in.. haha.

Although I fell in love with No Doubt with this album, just like everyone else, I'm one of the few people that appreciates the need Gwen had to try something different. I'm a No Doubt girl at heart, but I love everything Gwen's done on her own... Including her fashion line! She's beautiful, smart, and all around amazing! A fantastic role model through out the years.

cosign with emalove. i actually was in middle school when it came out but it had a huge impact on me. i also fell in love w/gwen from that moment on and she's still one of the coolest chicks to me. i do prefer no doubt's music but i think her first album was great and the girl can dress her butt off

I remember when I got the first No Doubt CD with Gwen's super 40's hairstyle and bright red lipstick! I was barely a teenager. Remember her look from the "Don't Speak" video? I love her!

I love Gwen and I have both her solo albums but I do agree with Fab, I prefer NoDoubt as far as music goes. This son is one of my favorites, though this entire album is awesome! I've listened to it lots of times!!
