Fab Ad: Armani Jeans Spring/Summer '08

In-your-face, vulgar sexuality is nothing new to advertising (hello, Dolce & Gabbana?), but when a usually demure designer gets in on the raunchy action, it takes you by surprise. The Armani Jeans Spring/Summer '08 ads with Julia Stegner and Evandro Soldati are definitely hot, hot, hot. Maybe they look more-so when compared to the Armani PrivéSpring 2008 couture collection. I'm not usually conservative when it comes to fashion ads, but these may have taken sexy a step too far. I feel like I've barged in on a hot and heavy makeout session. What do you think?

uhhhhhhhhhh i hate ads like this.the fashion is where? unless this is an ad for her boobs, i really don't see much fashion.i hate seeing people make out and grope each other, so i don't like these ads

allourregrets, you beat me to it. I was going to say it looks like a nearly exact rip-off of the Guess ads in the 90's, right down to the specific poses.

The images don't offend me, but the idea and the aesthetic of the campaign are disappointing. Way to cheapen the brand. I wouldn't have been able to tell these apart from an Abercrombie ad without already knowing they were for Armani.

This looks like every other ad campaign. Im pretty sure Anna Nicole did an ad for Guess back in the 90s that looked just like this. Theres nothing raunchy here, theres nothing NEW here. We saw more nastyiness in Paris Hiltons Carls Junior ad.
