Roberto Cavalli's Fall ad campaign is a scene we're all too familiar with: paparazzi shots inside nightclubs. Models Isabeli Fontana (a Cavalli favorite; she was in this Fall '09 campaign, too) and Karen Elson reenact today's celeb craze inside the El Morocco nightclub in NYC. Photographer Steven Meisel, whose first time it was working with the designer, was there document the chaos. The guy in the back is clearly choosing to stay out of the altercation, but Isabeli takes matters into her own hands by splashing alcohol at the pesky photogs. And Karen looks like she's about to cause some damage as well. What do you make of all this?
You can't really see the clothes. Stupid.
1It's... meh.
2I love it! I think the ad is the scene that we are all familiar with upgraded with a lot of Roberto Cavalli edge. I think it was done perfectly how the shot looks as if in action, and the emotions behind the models are great too. It definitely is experimental and out of the norm, but it was worth it!
3I think it looks too staged and not natural enough. the models look awkward; and the whole ad looks disjointed and messy. the guy in the back makes no sense; and I agree that you can't see the clothing. no good; although I do love Cavalli's clothes and Karen Elson...
4I HATE it. I love Isabeli Fontana, she is so beautiful, but she looks so ugly here. Her makeup is very ugly.
5This ad is ridiculous, but that guy is cute.
i kind of like the ad
6No leopard print? I'm disappointed.
7i love the zebra. but i'm not feeling the ad. it doesn't look like a scene involving paparazzi really...
