Fab Ad: Yves Saint Laurent Spring/Summer '07

These Yves Saint Laurent ads are so gorgeously film noir. There is no doubt Stefano Pilati's work for the house has been successful and these ads are brilliant. They really transport you to a dark, mysterious room dripping with deep purple, where shadows lurk behind model Karen Elson's perfectly crafted seams. The color palette and photography are intriguing and really position Karen as a sexy siren - and I'm not a huge Karen Elson fan. These ads are where the checkerboard chick rules the world and it is a world I know I want to be a part of.
