Amy Winehouse has become quite the unlikely fashion girl: Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by her look for his Chanel Pre-Fall 2008 collection last December and had her perform at a Fendi store opening last month, Vogue Paris did an editorial influenced by her in its February issue (left), and Marc Jacobs also asked her to perform at a Louis Vuitton party during the recent Paris Fashion Week.
Now, reports are saying that Roberto Cavalli is ready to sign a promotional deal with Amy . . . on recommendation of Victoria Beckham. After Posh confessed she loved Winehouse's style, Cavalli is said to have offered Amy a contract under which she would receive his clothes for free if she wore them at high profile events. What do you think about all this fashion obsession with Amy?

while her hair, makeup and music are all very unique - I'm not so sure about her style. I mean, she's hip and young, but doesn't she just dress like most of the hipster-ish crowd? I like her, don't get me wrong, but I have to say I'm shocked by the fashion world's obsession with her...
1Is this Anouck Lepere (I think it is)? I think she is a better looking Amy Winehouse than Amy Winehouse herself, ha!
2OOooo. I bet MK & A are sooo pissed.
3Yeah all she wears is skinny jeans, tanks, and ballet flats.
4While I do think that her clothing itself is all very ordinary, I think her overall style is unique. She is different from other celebrities, with her everything is so real and raw. I think she's an excellent inspiration
5fashionhore, It's Isabeli Fontana
xo.
6Designers seem to be obsessed with the anorexic junkie style...very sad.
7She's not exactly someone I hold as a fashion muse nor role model. When I see or think of this lady, I can't help but to associate her with crack, not her music or her "style."
8Isn't it kind of strange that when Kate Moss is caught on film snorting coke she gets yanked from all of her high profile campaigns. Compare that to Amy Winehouse, who is a hot mess and gets caught smoking crack in a photo. Why/how is she a muse?
9I think they are more obsessed with her singing talent than her personal style. If she can sing, sell millions of CD's and earn Grammies then the designer/clothes that she will market will definitely bring in a big profit to that particular fashion house.
10LOL she dosent look young
11I love Amy! Her music is amazing and her style is very unique. However, I hope she kicks the drug habit for good before she decides what to venture in next.
12I think Amy is a hot mess.
13I think it's fair.
Amy is only 23! Younger than Britney in 2 or so and look at the difference.
14Hmmm since when has sickly, drugged out and just plain ugly been inspiring or fashionable?...Oh yeah Kate Moss.
I know I'm going to get shot for that remark.
15*GAG*
WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?!
16Amy Whinehouse?!!
What a hot mess.
what kind of example are these designers setting? a fully tattooed girl looking like a crack head and with a cigarette on her finger...and to think that people are upset about the war in in Irak...........................hmm
What's really more damaging here?
17lol are they going to feature pulling out your own teeth as the "next hot thing" too?
18I kind of like Amy's music, but I'm not a fan of her look. It's certainly unique, but I don't know...she usually looks like a mess to me.
19wow she is only 23?? she's been living a hard life that is for sure and it shows in her face. i don't know that she should be an inspiration or the face of anything right now. she should get well and focus on her music rather than being someone's muse.
20i can't understand why Posh would love Amy's style. Amy is a mess, a hot mess, like hot garbage, it needs to be thrown out and taken away. she's talented, but she needs to get to a dermotologist that loves her and a power washer to blast her makeup off. Didn't her momma every teach her to wash her face at night?
21Oh, I love her and her music, but...heroin(drugs in general)chic, again? I'm sure the style will sell even more when she OD's, cause if everyone keep enabling her, that's exactly how she gonna end up.
22that doesn't even look like her.
23It's a good photoshop job.
They are "models" and not "role models", get over yourselves. Just because they do drugs it doesn't mean you have to do the same!!!!!!
24They may be attracted to her success and 'tragedy'. Her style is out there, she's very talented, she's a tragic mess, and she's skinny. She's also has a very high media profile - mention her name with a fashion house and they're bound to get some media hype.
She's got a fascination factor, that's for sure.
25Ha! This is hilarious... not because it's Any Winehouse, but because it's Roberto Cavalli who's interested in her.
Posh may like her style but she's at the opposite end of the style spectrum from Posh and I can't see Amy suddenly deciding she wants to look like a tanorexic Euro-trash trophy girlfriend, therefore why on earth would she start wearing Cavalli? It makes no sense whatsoever as a pairing.
26jennybop was that supposed to be her? I thought it was a model posing in her style.
27i will take a supermodel any day.
28jennybop - that's a model posing like amy winehouse.
wow - this reminds me of that time courtney love was chanel's muse... they clean her up one time and leave the rest to her...
29She's gross. She always looks dirty, fatigued and starving. Yeah, that's who I would want representing my line. Um, no.
30I think they are doing this because they are sick of looking at this mess. They think if they give her a bunch of designer clothes, she won't be the cracked out mess that she is.
31Great, so now we can all aspire to look like crack wh*res. Super.
32its so great to advertise your designs on a cracked-out girl who can't get her head on straight. i dont think she needs to be doing anything except spending months in rehab right now and a designer shouldn't be stupid enough to drag her away from that.
33oh please...
it's just fashion!
nobody has to dress like that if they don't want to.
34just a style.
i'll totally wear some of that clothes,
not with my face looking like sh*t obviously.
but the clothes, definitely.
I cannot believe that Amy Winehouse is just one year older than me. *shudder*
35Cavalli is so much better than Winehouse.
36i love it!!!
37I'm not a fan of Amy's style. She is a mess. I personally would not want to emulate her. Her clothes really aren't that revolutionary and her signature style items - the hair and makeup - are so badly in need of help.
With that said, she has a great voice and I do wish her the best. But Amy as a style icon? No, thanks.
38Love. It.
39I love Amy's style, maybe not so much her clothes, but her overall style. She's obviously unique and she's an amazing singer, to boot. I just wish she would stop the drugs and sober up a little. Then I really think people would take her more seriously.
40I love the entire look of Amy, I wish to see her more healthy, but she is an icon already, like it or not to the people, she is a new icon!
41I love this!!! Amy is controversial. That's what sells. I happen to love her style. I think it's great anytime someone is fearless enough to be themselves in public. I love that she doesn't conform to what society thinks she should be. I mean, how many people do things just as bad on the DL? Honestly. Who am I to judge someone else? Ya know? At least she's honest about her life. I love that she and Kat Von D are helping to bring back old Hollywood Glamour in a rebellious interpretation. Lagerfeld and Jacobs are both insanely talented. Who am I to question their choices?
