Fab Flash: Eva Longoria Marrying in Chanel...And Vera!

As her wedding fast approaches (7.7.07!), Eva Longoria is coming down to the wire on a few of those big bridal decisions - like what she's going to wear.

But the decision has finally been made - sort of. It seems that Eva couldn't really decide: she's wearing Chanel couture for her civil ceremony, and a $75,000 Vera Wang dress embroidered by 20 seamstresses for the church. Sounds lavish!

She can afford that ridiculously-priced gown we ordinary mortal's can't even have. :-) But really, it's outrageous. I could have a very very grand wedding with with that price.

i agree...absolutely ridiculous....makes me like her even less if that is possible. i know many stars have over the top expensive weddings and i think they are all ridiculous...but that's just me and weddings!

These people get paid way too much for what they do and this is the proof. Sad! She could have done something really constructive with that money instead of wasting it on a dress she'll wear once. I don't care how beautiful the dress is - it's obnoxious and ostentatious and a total waste of resources.

Hearing how much she paid for her dress just makes me dislike her more than I did before, and I actually thought she was kinda ok before, not now!

From the picture, it doesn't even look that pretty! What a waste of money, some women try as hard as they can to have the most expensive dress, what a shame, could have gone to something a little more noble (charity?)

Hopefully Tony is not as stupid as he looks and got a prenup,a $75.000 dress shows him what a self centered egoist bitch she is and gives him a preview of all the money she'll want when they get divorced next month.

Two dresses is quite "normal" in France though : one must have the certificate of civil wedding before being able to go through with the religious ceremony. So, usually, two dresses are chosen for those who decide to have a religious wedding on top of the civil one. Am I the only one who isn't surprised by the price of that dress? Haute couture is very expensive and some catwalk dresses of 250 000€ don't shock us. At least she made over 20 people work and earn money, that's how I see it. If she desires to spend to her money for that, fine by me. I wouldn't do it if I had a large bank account though... Haute couture is art in a way, I will merely say that Longoria has chosen such an investment and it better bring some luck ;-) One more day and the pictures of the dress will be taken and start leaking on the net. Yes, I admit to being impatient to see and the Chanel outfit and the Wang dress!

Didn't a few Hollywood elite pay something like 1 millon for their wedding dresses? I don't recall the price of Katie Holmes dress but it was expensive- unless I'm confusing her with someone else....Oh my- I'm starting to lose my memory..{-:
