Fab Flash: Eva Mendes Bares All For PETA

Eva Mendes was unveiled today as the newest face of PETA's "Fur? I'd Rather Go Naked" ad campaign. More than 1,000 posters of the ad, shot by photographer Don Flood, are to be plastered around NYC starting next week.

Although Eva admits to wearing fur early in her career, when she "ignorantly wore" a fur wrap her stylist sent her, she now refuses to wear it on the red carpet or for photo shoots. The only fur she'll wear? Faux fur, of course.

She does look great but do these ads have any effectiveness in PETA's cause? I suppose it's a way to get attention but not the classiest way to go about it IMO.

i am an extremely committed vegetarian and animal rights activist, but THIS is exactly why i hate peta so much. the message here is not "i'd rather go naked than wear fur," it's, "hey, it's not okay to objectify an animal, but a woman? yeah, she's pretty much an object." and i agree with romaniagirl. this is more for her career than it is for animal cruelty awareness. i call foul!!
