Nameplate necklaces have always been popular but Carrie Bradshaw made them very popular! In addition to the classic script name necklace, known as the Carrie necklace, there are many script, graffiti, funky and simple styles to meet any taste. This is besides name rings, name bracelets, initial necklaces, monogram necklaces and name jewelry in many languages. My favorite source for name jewelry is http://www.wow-imports.com.

I have one in a cool graffiti type font, but I'm sure you could probably get it made in a font very similar if not the same as the SATC one. If I had a little toy poodle I'd get a cheap version of this for it. But I don't.Is there a story behind this necklace? I vaguely remember the ep where she freaked about losing it, but I didn't really understand why (I haven't watched most of the early SaTC seasons). Does it carry (no pun intended) some special meaning I don't know of?

I would actually like a nameplate necklace, i think they're really cute, but the problem is my family nickname is Carrie, it's what everyone has called me since birth practically, but I have to say I would feel like a tool wearing a "Carrie" necklace, or at least I would assume that everyone thought I was a tool for wearing it!

I have a "Emily" nameplate necklace that I got way back in 1998 or 1999...when SATC first came out and I HAD to have the Carrie nameplate necklace! Haven't worn it in at least 5 years...maybe I'll have to break it out again.

I liked this so much when carrie wore it, but where I'm from they'd been wearing those for years. Carrie just brought it into the mainstream.

I've had my Carrie-inspired name necklace for a couple of years now, LOVE IT! Got it at personalizedboutique.com. Got a little diamond to dot the "i" in my name. Back then gold was less expensive so I got a great deal. Would highly recommend them!
