We're excited to bring you the best fashion finds, shopping stories, and style news from one of our favorite sites, Fashionista. Today, they're giving us the scoop on some of the most memorable model-turned-actresses.

Beauty and fame often go hand in hand, so it makes sense that models and actresses seem to be forever trading places.

The latest model to make the jump to acting is Erin Wasson, who we got a first look at in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter today. And she’s following in the footsteps of some of acting’s biggest names, like Milla Jovovich and Cameron Diaz, who got their start as models. But while the model-turned-actress is certainly not a new breed, there seem to have been even more slashes emerging recently: Gemma Ward, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Brooklyn Decker, for instance, have all made the jump. And the new Mad Max movie (Mad Max: Fury Road) is cast almost entirely with models: former model Charlize Theron and more current ones Abbey Lee Kershaw and Huntington-Whitely are all set to star.

And while the model/actress transition is certainly not rare, it can be hard to pull off (see: Cindy Crawford in Fair Game).
