You Don't Have to Be a Supermodel to Wear These Stripes

My love for stripes knows no bounds. I'd happily swath myself in horizontal stripes and stare down the lens of a panoramic camera (yes, I really do love them that much). That said, I have friends who fear the effects of horizontal stripes, loathe to think what the print might do to their figures (even if it is all in their heads). The solution isn't to stop wearing stripes, it's to find the right kind.

Incidentally, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the perfect example of how to wear stripes — and win. Bear with me, I know she's a supermodel, and yes she can wear anything, but her vertical stripes are a smart, body-lenthening tool even we average women can benefit from. Vertical stripes draw the attention up and down the body, creating a long line from head to toe. But, if you're not brazen enough to try them on pants, we've pulled a few of our other favorite stripes to help you get started.
