Pocketflops Foldable Flip Flops: Love It or Hate It?

We live in a busy world, so investing in convenient pieces is a plus. But the trick is to find convenient pieces that don't sacrifice good taste. They're sometimes hard to come by. What do you think: Are these Flock Designs Pocketflop Foldable Flip Flops ($22 each) cute? They come in all sorts of prints and colors — zebra, purple, argyle, paisley — and the fact that they fold in half is way cool. Even cooler, they're made of recycled tire rubber, and the storage bags are made from 100% organic cotton. You can throw one in your bag wherever you go, just in case of any shoe emergencies. Would you get a pair?

I know I'm alone on this, but I don't like flip flops. I wore them a lot in high school, but then I got older and started to feel kinda gross about seeing people's stained feet/dirty shoes. I love open-toed shoes, I just never did like flip flops again. I also had one break while I was walking to physics in college. Downtown. Seriously, that took some ingenuity to figure out how to walk in those things. I still have one pair (all fancied up) for when I have to throw something on in a hurry, like the dog needs to go out. But, I also don't like crocs...cept the cute new platformed one. I know, I know, I know...I'm alone here.

I got a pair of these as a bridesmaid gift. The bride picked the MOST uncomfortable heels for the big day. She got each of us a pair to wear during the reception and I loved them.

I wonder if they are comfortable?!? They are super cute and would be great for commuting to work and for days when I need to have sandals for a pedicure :)
