These Feed 2 bracelets ($5) — exclusively for Forever 21 in partnership with the United Nations World Food Program — are cute, colorful, and available in stores starting today. Feed 2 bracelets are handmade in Guatemala, and by snapping up a particular color, you'll be sending two school meals to children in one of six countries: Swaziland, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Honduras, Haiti, and Pakistan. I'm planning to add the sparkly gold to my current bangle repertoire.

Im sure some of the profit will got to Guatamala. You guys are turning something good into a negative thing. I feel you should be happy people are getting more involved and helping out. We want peace right? Because you sure aren't helping the cause.
I was also thinking this seemed ironic in general because I have read that Forever21 does use sweatshop labor in the US and overseas and have been taken to court several times for these practices. To be fair, though, when I looked into it more, I didn't find solid evidence that they use child labor, although they have been accused of it.

I completely agree with anonymous. As a Guatemalan- American I'm appalled that these beautiful Guatemalan made bracelets are benefiting fucking Pakistan and not the very same people who made them. I will not be purchasing and I will definitely discourage others not to either.
If these bracelets are handmade in Guatemala, then why aren't any of the meals going to be sent to children in Guatemala? They very easily could have been the ones "hand-crafting" them for you to buy them cheaply. I don't mean to hate-on Forever 21 and be hypocritical, because I shop there too, but maybe you should put a little more thought into your "philanthropic" spending before you fashionably become tomorrow's most philanthropic fashionista. Guatemala is a struggling country with war-stricken people, and I am 100% sure that there are starving children there as well. If you really cared about making a difference, you wouldn't be buying these bracelets from Forever 21 claiming to "Help Feed Children in Need," you would donate directly to the UN's World Food Program.
