Fornarina Neon Slip-ons: Love It or Hate It?

I thought these Fornarina Closed-Toe Neon Slip-Ons, $52, were an apparition when I first saw them. I mean, how can someone who cares about the way they look wear these part-neon, part-metallic pumps on a day other than Halloween? They are way too futuristic and cheesy in my opinion. What do you think?!

guess that's not really a pair, is it? i honestly think the shoes would be that much cooler if they didn't have the plastic sides and had an ankle strap instead.

I don't necessarily have anything against neon... but I'm not a friend of any plastic-y and or clear material on shoesThese remind me of bad 90s fashion and I can def. see Patsy on AbFab wearing them!

I like the neon heel (although that particular color of neon is one that I cannot personally wear). It's the side part that is perplexing me. Is it plastic? Is it really sheer? I think the shoe has potential but is not perfected in this incarnation. I vote undecided.

I'm trying to see the good. I'm trying to picture the outfit they'd work with. I don't think the neon is totally appalling, and I do appreciate that the entire shoe isn't neon. I don't know. To me, these aren't any worse than the Stuart Weitzman jellies I saw this spring, and actually, they're probably better. I voted undecided.
