Freaky or Fabulous: Alexander Wang's Killer Jewelry

As promised, Alexander Wang's first jewelry collection with Brooklyn-based jewelry designer Paris Kain of Abraxas Rex debuted on Wang's runway Feb. 14. If you paid close attention, you would have spotted the weapon-like cuff, seen on Tasha Tilberg's wrist, and the sharp, alien-like earrings. Do you recall when Wang said you wouldn't need pierced ears to wear his earrings? Now I get what he meant. Totally makes sense that Wang's jewels are as edgy as his clothes, but are they freaky or fabulous?

both. the cuff is fabulous, but I would be so worried that I would end up stabbing someone. and the earrings are just plain ugly...

Absolutely brilliant as fashion goes: inventing something new (although maybe I just haven't seen stuff like this before because it wasn't from a big name) is an amazing step and hasn't been done for quite a while. That said, I think it's destined to remain on the runways and in shoots -- but isn't much of fashion that way?

I thought the jewelry was the most interesting part of this collection! Really like the cuff, and the concept of the earrings, although I wouldn't wear them.

Totally fab! I actually have some earrings similar to this... They've got elongated looking spikes dangling from hook earrings and are dark gunmetal gray. They're about 3" long and I love them!
