Freaky or Fabulous? Kiki de Montparnasse Fringe Necklace

I'm a sucker for fringe. Bags, shoes, skirts, tops, jewels — the fringier, the better. Well, that's what I thought until I saw this Kiki de Montparnasse Fringe Benefits Necklace ($595). Whoa, it has the longest fringes I've ever seen. I wonder if it's heavy. The concept of a fringe necklace is cool, but I'm wondering if the delivery looks more like chest hair than a necklace.
