If our Twitter feed proved anything today, it's that Anna Wintour and André Leon Talley aren't the only politicos in the fashion world. Terry Richardson, Kelly Mittendorf, Jeremy Scott, and Joe Zee were among those who not only hit the polls but also used their social media pull to get out the vote. While we'll leave it up to you to figure out who the majority of industry folk probably voted for, we will say this: patriotism is always in style.

Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld gathered his always interesting mix of fashion and art friends together in the Lower East Side last night to debut "The Martus Maw," an exhibition of sixteen mixed media pieces from the French artist Nicolas Pol. It was the fourth presentation from Feedback, the art firm Vladimir opened in 2008.

The space he chose was a former packing plant, and the meat hooks dangling from the ceiling presented an interesting counterpoint to the neon-accented pieces and the glam crowd sipping champagne to tunes from DJ Nick Cohen. The event was thrown in conjunction with RVCA's artist network, and fittingly, friend of the label Erin Wasson came out to rub shoulders with an otherwise Euro-heavy set that included Stavros Niarchos, Daphne Guiness, and Olympia Scarry.

Vladimir's mother Carine practically stole the show, however, when she arrived wearing head-to-toe lace and a black cape with Jean Paul Gaultier in tow. Once the preview wrapped up, a select few headed over for a meal at Vlad's favoritie restaurant, Indochine.

Handbags, jewels, and lingerie mingled this week when social-cum-handbag/jewelry designer Genevieve Jones and La Perla showed off their latest collections at the La Perla Black Label boutique in NYC. The likes of Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and Elise Overland came out to ogle Genevieve's bling and La Perla's lacy underthings. Sounds like a win-win. Designer Zac Posen even showed up and nabbed a peck from the lady of the night, who, may I say, was dressed to impress.

>> Last night marked the opening of Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld's Louis Vuitton-sponsored, curated exhibit of three photographers and close friends of his — PC Valmorbida (boyfriend of Theodora Richards), David Mushegain and Salim Langatta.  Both the party and after-party at Indochine (a Roitfeld favorite) were super crowded — the latter hit capacity and saw Carine Roitfeld dancing on the restaurant's banquettes.  Sister Julia, girlfriend Lily Donaldson, and godfather Mario Testino were all in attendance, as were a number of other fashion folk — Lara Stone, Erin Wasson, Gisele Bundchen.  And Carine was proud of her son's current career choice — according to Vladimir, it was his parents who pushed him to move to the US — "I don't know if he will do more shows or film, but when you try to produce things, it's a hard hard job, and I'm very proud of him.  I'll be very happy if he becomes successful."

When the Cruz sisters throw a party, you better believe it's going to be filled with fashionable A-listers. In celebration of the newly renovated Mango flagship in SoHo, Monica Cruz hosted a fete filled with beautiful clothes and lovely party-goers. Solange Knowles performed for giddy guests Marc Jacobs, Dakota Johnson Griffith, and Ashley Olsen, to name a few. You can tell from the pictures — check out Genevieve Jones and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld in a chummy hug — everyone had a blast. Looks like some of the party animals should have remembered to pack their morning-after clothes.

The Chanel Contemporary Art Container by Zaha Hadid at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park may have opened yesterday to the public but the party was Tuesday night as style conscious New Yorkers turned out in droves to pay homage to Karl Lagerfeld's latest extravagance despite the blustery weather.
