Ginnifer Goodwin in Red Lace Valentino Couture: Love It or Hate It?

There are certain dresses I can't tell right off the bat if I love or hate. Ginnifer Goodwin's red lace Valentino Couture dress she wore to the Genesis Awards is one of them. On one hand, the color is punchy, the lace romantic. On the other, it's not coming together as beautifully as I had hoped. The silhouette is quite matronly, and the taupe pumps don't help the situation. What do you think?

I don't think that shade of red is her color. Something isn't right. Is it the neckline? Very unflattering.

Poor ginnifer!!! Def. needs a new stylist I agree! The neckline just is NOT working and why those shoes?! The bunching at the waistline does not help the dress style or Ginnifer's figure. Ginnifer is young! She should have something more youthful looking, like a plunging neckline and a dress that isn't entirely layered from lace...

The pattern is cute but the collar...not so much. And the shape is just wrong in so many ways! I do like the shoes though...but I would probably wear them with a sexy pair of jeans and I would have chosen some strappy red open toe heels. maybe even some pumps.

I'm not loving it. Ginnifer is so pretty, yet her looks never convince me. I always get the feeling she's not comfortable in the clothes she's wearing..

I LOVE the lace and the shoes, but the fabric around the neck works against the look. Maybe if it were a boatneck minus the red strip, it would look better. It looks like it's cascading on her back too? Oh no...

I like the idea of the red lace, nude pumps, etc. But somehow the execution seems a little OFF. Still voted Love It, though since I am a fan of Miss Goodwin and think she looks adorable in pretty much everything she wears!

For me, the neckline is wrong, it's the wrong length (needs to be longer) and the long sleeves just don't do it, but I do like the pattern. A scooped neck back and front would make so much difference.

I agree, Fab. It could be cute, but it looks a little matronly. I would like it a lot better if the hemline was shorter and the neckline didn't have the weird collar.
