Giorgio Armani Dresses Katherine Heigl in The Ugly Truth

To help her look extra fabulous in The Ugly Truth — movie opens nationwide today — Katherine Heigl received a little wardrobe help from Giorgio Armani. We just found out the designer collaborated with costume designer Betsy Heimann on a couple of Heigl's key looks in the romantic comedy. His favorite piece from the film is this sexy Armani LBD worn by Heigl in a key scene. If you love it, you can purchase it at an Armani store near you for $950. The dress will be available next week at Armani/5th Avenue in Manhattan and at the Emporio Armani boutique in Los Angeles.

I bought the dress over the telephone from one of the Emporio Armani stores where it was available. I was completely disappointed. The dress was "inspired" by the movie and is of inferior quality and quite tacky. It is made mainly of acetate and feels like you are wearing a cheap suit that you can't wait to take off. The seaming is atrocious; it looks like it was made in a Chinese sweatshop under severe time constraints. All of the threads are left hanging on the interior. Like all of you, I thought the dress in the movie was beautiful. Armani most certainly could have made a dress for his adoring public that could have lived up to his name. He should have selected a beautiful wool/elastane fabric and left off the tacky "fish tail" that goes on for miles. If I wanted a tacky dress, I would have gone to WalMart. Save your money ladies.

Love that dress-- it's totally flattering and I'm sure it will look nothing less than awesome on Katherine. She has an hour glass shaped body, and a dress like that is bound to complement it!
