Givenchy Fall 2014 Runway Show | Paris Fashion Week

Riccardo Tisci's Givenchy Fall 2014 show was such a riot of print, texture, and shape that we'd be hard pushed to know where to begin. The starting point was metamorphosis, giving Tisci free rein to lead us through an ever-evolving collection that included both the brighter colors of a butterfly wing and the muted tones of a chrysalis. Whether you're looking for the perfect brown leather aviator jacket, a dramatic gown, or a fluttery sheer bib-front day dress, there was no shortage of looks to spark your imagination.

Wide panels in contrasting colors sat on pockets of trousers in peplum-like fashion, paired with pastel-colored coats in various lengths. Butterfly prints gave a new lease on life to frilly dresses, either dotted throughout or poking out over other prints (snakeskin or leopard) as wings across the lapels. One evening gown seemed to be made of the wings of a brown and red insect, growing larger as it continued down the skirt.
