Going Braless: Fab or Drab?

I'm too busty to go without a bra. And even then, she can always wear a simple cotton bra...not hard, darlin.

I think the bra-less 'style' is only strictly for those A cuppers .

if the dress or shirt demands it, and if the person is small-chested and as long as their nipple don't show (not cute darling!), or if the shirt just doesn't show your drooping (sorry - I know that's gross) boobs, I think it's okay. but for just a t-shirt like kate's, why not just wear a bra, especially since not only do her nipples show big time, but it's not like she has a lot and gets tired out by the super huge underwire (like me)...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE braless. so comfy. I dont know if appropriate though. And mine arent really in nature's form if shall we say, so they dont sag anyways

I don't mind, cause Kate (and I) have small boobs. In fact, I'm not wearing one now! (But I am in my pj's).

i don't feel comfortable braless, at all. swinging in the wind and what not. and i don't even have big tits!

It's kinda hard to go braless when you are a C-cup. It's just unattractive. I go braless a lot around my apartment, but never out in public. Plus, it kinda hurts to not have any support.

I like wearing my bra, I even wear it when I sleep.

Grow up. We all got 'em. Who cares if someone decides to go braless? Other people do not exist for your visual enjoyment, so I could care less if you think it's *gross*.

I'm one of those A cuppers.... and I can't say I do it all the time, but I do go braless on occasions... especially in this 90+ degree weather!

I am not really offended by the bra/visible nipple thing though to avoid looking trashy or sloppy I think the reality is it belongs to the smaller cup sizes as a look, and it is somewhat situational...this look I think can actually turn out really elegant in the evenings. Braless under say, a metallic lowcut sheath with minimal accessories and smoothed, sleek hair is not trashy.

In a fashion/runway context I don't react to nipple at all. Its almost asexual in that environment, its part of the image, style, or impact the designer hopes to make. Besides, Besides, somewhere between being relentlessly exposed to ass cleavage and tacky thongs and today, the shock factor of the humble nipple died out a few decades ago. OMGNIPPLEZNOOES...not.

By contrast, though, I must confess...if I am wandering around my local grocery store I would not call it the best of looks if I see pendular appendages beyond a certain cupsize swinging around at will, smashing apples from their displays. Ok..I exaggerate, but hopefully I make the point.

But I am a 34DD/34E, and if I even thought about doing this, not only would I feel horribly underdressed, it is not the best way to define my upper body shape. So while its not for me, I don't have a strong opinion on it.

The human body is beautiful. I just wish it was culturally accepted to go bra less.

I have little A cups and I can't go braless cause I'm so...pointy. I really need the padding of a bra to fill me out, otherwise clothes hang oddly.

If you have a nice rack, something worthy of showing off, I say go for it. In the case of Kate Moss, she looks like she has two socks stapled to her chest. Not an attractive look here. Her boobs have clearly lost volume and are headed south, along with her modeling career, I can only hope.

Ain't nothin' wrong with going braless. I think there's something really alluring about small-chested women who do it tastefully.

I'm small-chested, so I'm able to go braless if I choose to...sometimes if I'm wearing a halter top or a tank with a built-in shelf bra I will. I'd never wear a t-shirt without a bra in public though, I'd just feel kind of naked.

It totally depends. Girls with smaller boobs can get away with it, in the right circumstance. Any one with more than a b needs a bra at all times, though.

It depends on the shirt and breast size. Small chested women can pull it off sometimes, but no one should go bra-less in public with a white T shirt like Kate did. I'm not offended, and sure, the human body is wonderful, gorgeous, a work of art, but that doesn't mean I need to see everyone's **art** unveiled all the time. If that was the case, why not have everyone go around in transparent clothing? I don't need to see your nipples and I sure as hell don't need to see anything below your waist and above your thighs.

I am a b cup and if I am just running out to the grocery store with a non fitted tee shirt on (definitely not white) , sometimes I skip the bra, but I don't like the nipple thing. I want to get a want bra tank but if it is cold, out come the nipples and I just feel really self conscious. Maybe it is just me, but it makes me feel skanky.

I'm a 38DD so going bra less is not really an option unless I am home and in bed. But if your comfortable and an A cup go for it!

I go braless to run to the starbucks sometimes, or when I'm wearing something with spaghetti straps. Running errands or something without a bra would just be too bouncy. I'm only a b, but I have to hold them if I go down stairs or else it gets painful. I wouldn't want to be holding my breasts in public.

It's like going commando. It's fine as long as people can't really tell what's going on under your clothes. I'm small, so going braless is more comfortable, and I do it a lot, even when traveling in somewhat conservative places, but people can't see my headlights because I wear a layer of undershirt (or tank top) and then something a little more loose over that. And not in pale, see-through fabrics.

I've seen other people nipples show through their clothes, and it's no big deal to me, but I wouldn't feel comfortable showing them myself. It's kind of annoying to have to consider people like perverts and conservatives in the way we dress, but I'd rather not attract these kinds of people's attention.

It's only ok if you really have SMALL BREASTS.

Wow, I am surprised at some peoples attitudes. Any one, any size can go braless. I am a 34c and go braless all the time in the summer. If you don't like seeing my "headlights" get over it. You got em too babe, you are just ashamed of your own body, and I am not. I think a lot of women out there should be more concerned with their rears, not hiding their bumps. I find it more offensive to look at large sloppy rear ends, jeez those things should be in a girdle. You know who you are ladies, don't worry so much about a bra, get a girdle.

I hate going braless, I only do it when my boobs are sore or if I'm just hanging out at home. I am a D-cup so it's really uncomfortable walking around in public without any support. Plus, its distracting to see other people's "headlights" so I wouldn't want anyone looking at mine.

i wear my bras 24/7 , and for all u braless b*tchs, how can u stand to do that??? when i shower its the only time im braless, and it feels so wrong and wierd and saggy. i even tried it once. so what would u rather have, pointy saggy fly-all-over-the-place tits or nice neat stay-in-place perfectly round breasts??? i cant understand how some women can stand being braless , women were meant to always have support even in the olden days women wore corsets . so please go to vitorias secert and buy ur self a new bra.

I go out braless sometimes, when I feel like it, and when it's not-so-obvious. I like to wear tank tops without a bra, but not white ones obviously. It's very comfortable.
I would go braless 24/7 if it was more socially acceptable. Seriously though, people, COME ON, we ALL have boobs! Why is looking at the outlines of someone else's so gross? It's just a body. Grow up!

our breasts were not designed to be perfectly round and protruding from our chests at a 90 degree angle. i agree with the previous comment. all women have breasts. i'm sorry if you don't like looking at my not perfectly round boobs. stop looking. that's like telling an unattractive person to cover their face because you don't want to look at it. it's women who say "it's gross" to not wear a bra that perpetuate low self-esteem and breast issues in young girls. i'm an a cup and i barely ever wear a bra. it's my choice. it's not wrong or weird. please be more open minded and tolerant.

oh & ps: for those who say going braless is trashy or slutty...are you trying to tell me that wearing push up bras and padded bras for the sole purpose of making your boobs look bigger isn't? give me a break.

It's been a while since this post but I wanted to add that bras not only are uncomfortable (and I've tried just about every one imaginable as price was not the issue) but they are probably not healthy to wear. I do wear the most comfortable, light weight ones I can find, but wish society did not "require" it by being so silly about seeing someone's shape. See-through is different and I personally wouldn't choose this look that Kate seems to like, but I do wish a bra was more of an option not an expectation. I feel embarrassed to wear anything with thin straps because I know if I do it without a bra I'll be labeled in a certain manner.

Well, if you want to go braless, at least wear concealers. I personally don't really care. But not everybody feels that way! Come on, be considerate. Not everyone looks at things the same way. You should always take precaution when you think it's a possibility somebody will be offended. But apparently, Kate doesn't have the consideration to even consider that....
Lucky for me, my hair is SO LONG! So, if I go braless due to a lack of concealers, or the appropriate bra, then I just pull my hair over, and nobody knows! ^^
