Golden Globe Awards Trend Alert: Sandstorm
A
sandstorm hit
the red carpet tonight. Did you all feel it? It came suddenly and with such powerful force. I'm speaking of the likes of Angelina Jolie, Demi Moore, Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz, Miley Cyrus, and a handful of others, who arrived wearing gowns of beiges, creams, vanillas, and golds. Though this caused a lack of color on the carpet, it did prove neutrals can be sexy. Take for instance Sandra Bullock in her
cream one-shoulder Dior dress. It's colorless, yes, but oh so delectable. Proceed to see more fabulous ladies responsible for tonight's sandstorm.

Oh, I hope this doesn't continue to be a trend. Beige is nice, but it reminds me of oatmeal and that isn't terribly exciting.
Those dresses are gorgeous but... BEIGE.
1Then again, I'm a girl who loves contrast (e.g. navy on pale skin). So that explains my distaste for beige.
2When I hear beige I think "washed out" and "boring" but these dresses make me change my mind.
3I love this one.
4Most of these are lovely...but I think you really need to be careful of those light neutral shades and make sure you pick one that flatters your skintone. It's so easy to look washed out in shades like this.
5i love them all, except Angie's and JLo's.
6Sandra Bullocks is wearing a lovely gown. I love the tier layers.
7"tiered layers".
8I Heart Her Dress.
9I really want this whole nude/beige/gold trend to go away. It's so boring because it's been overdone to death! Admittedly Vanessa's and a couple other's dressed were very nice, but COLOUR, PEOPLE!!
