It's Official: Ricky Gervais Will Host the 2012 Golden Globes
Though Ricky Gervais was criticized for targeting big-name celebrities with blunt one-liners during last year's Golden Globes, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is turning to the British comedian once more. The organization has officially confirmed Gervais will host the 2012 Golden Globes. Gervais, who has hosted the show twice before, has made such topics as Scientology and Robert Downey Jr.'s stints in rehab the punchlines of his jokes. Gervais's unpredictability definitely makes me want to tune into the broadcast to see whether or not he'll behave or revert to his straightforward zingers. Will you tune in to watch Gervais host the show?
Do You Want to See Ricky Gervais Host the Globes Again?
At the 2011 Golden Globes, host Ricky Gervais performed an opening stand-up routine that made waves, but it may have not been the kiss of death for the British comedian. According to Page Six, he was spotted having dinner with some bigwigs from NBC and the Hollywood Foreign Press, which could only mean one thing: Ricky Gervais may host the Golden Globes again. After the story was released, Gervais tweeted: "Ooooooh! The plot thickens..." but has yet to make an official statement on whether or not the hosting rumors are true.
I love Gervais's brand of controversial humor and would love to see him play host for a third time, but I'm curious on your thoughts. Were you a fan of Gervais' hosting style? Do you want to him see him host again this year?

Get the Bod: Toni Collette
At this year's Golden Globes, Toni Collette received a statue to match her dress for her work in the Showtime series United States of Tara. Although some people questioned her victory, I was stoked. I've loved Toni since seeing her way back when in Muriel's Wedding, a role that she gained 40 pounds for.
I'm not going to lie — when I first saw Toni at the Golden Globes, I was a bit concerned. Her collar bones looked really prominent, and I was worried that she might be too skinny. Not so! After looking at old pics of Toni, it seems that regardless of her weight, Toni's trapezius muscles have always looked tight. If you check out the rest of Toni's body, she's looking fit and healthy. I wonder if she knows that the simple action of relaxing her shoulders will help this — something I Iearned in Pilates.

Get the Bod: Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore dazzled at the Golden Globes this year, where she picked up an award for her portrayal of "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale in Grey Gardens. The role was an intense one for Drew — the actress lost almost 10 lbs. while filming because she was so "fraught with anxiety" that she couldn't eat.
This isn't the first time Drew lost weight in an unconventional (and not-so-healthy way) — the star was on a forced diet due to the discomfort that came with getting her tongue pierced in 2008: "I couldn't eat, couldn't drink for two weeks — great diet in a weird way." Questionable diets aside, Drew has been pretty healthy when it comes to getting in shape. After years of struggling with her weight, in 2004 the actress dropped an amazing 20 lbs. and has done a great job of keeping it off.

Get the Bod: Sandra Bullock
At this year's Golden Globe Awards, Sandra Bullock was looking lovely in a purple evening gown and glowing from her win for Best Actress for The Blind Side. When I saw the red carpet pics of Sandra that night I was impressed by how toned her arms and upper body look — her fitness routine must be paying off!
To stay in shape, it's all about variety for Sandra, and though she also tries to work out every day, she doesn't beat herself up if she misses a few weeks. Besides running and biking, the star incorporates Pilates, plyometrics, weights, and kickboxing into her fitness routine — phew! Sandra must know that changing up your workout is a great way to stay motivated and not get bored with a fitness regimen. If you're not familiar with plyometrics, or jump training, I encourage you to give it a try. You can easily add it into a walking routine or when strength training. By including jumping exercises like jump roping or jumping squats into an existing workout, you use new muscle groups and burn more calories. It's also just a lot of fun!
