At first glance, I thought the youthful cutie in Gucci's Spring '10 watch campaign was Miranda Kerr. Way wrong: the beauty pictured in the black and white backdrop is actually the lovely Veruschka. The photo, which dates back to the '60s, was taken from the Gucci archives and layered with an image of Gucci's new timepiece. Similar process to what Stella McCartney did for her Spring campaign, but with a Veruschka and the late actor Peter Sellers instead of the family dog. There's no better way to show off the meaning of timeless beauty than with Veruschka looking so elegant and chic in her floppy hat and Gucci logo-adorned bags. The watch is pretty awesome, too. Are you feeling Gucci's old-school ads?

Precious! I love it when they use dogs in ads.
1Amazing!
2Now this is what I like! Nice work!
3There nice but Stella McCartney's are a whole different idea; while these are basically ecycling old ads (which, to me, is kind of lame); SM used a family photo and incorporated a new photo of the model wearing a current item.
4I am not saying I don't like these; I just think it's kind of lazy; as well as the fact that the watch just randomly floating against the backdrop of the photo is disconnected and there is no harmony to the ad...
Looking more in depth at it; I guess it does work with the theme of "timeless"...
