Gucci's 85th Anniversary Bag: Love It or Hate It?

A 25th anniversary is celebrated with silver; the 75th, with diamonds. But what about the 85th? According to Gucci, the way to celebrate your 85th anniversary is with a very expensive, very busy handbag.

The "85th Gucci" limited edition hobo bag crams just about every design detail the Italian label is known for—including bold plaid, fine leather, the double-G logo, and equestrian-inspired hardware—onto a single $4,795 handbag. What do you guys think? Over the top? Or classic in the making?

Um, ick. However, the saddle leather version is sweet (and by sweet I mean totally hot). The equestrian hardware is awesome.

Limited edition bags are always hit or miss. You are buying a collector's item not a fashion statement.

Gucci has went down since the early nineties and this bag only proves that. Only buy Gucci knockoff's and you won't regret anything. That being said this hobo is fug.

Hate it. Maybe it is worth having because it's limited, but it's so ugly it wouldn't be worth it to a regular, non-uber wealthy person.

Uhmmn, I am a Gucci lover, but this is a bit extreme for little ole P-cubed...If I were wealthy, hell yes I would have one, but since I am not, I think I will pass this go-round....
