While some of Europe's largest retailers have agreed to a set of safety guidelines produced in response to last month's Bangladesh garment factory collapse, only one American company has signed on. The agreement, which would safeguard against incidents like the collapse, which killed over 1,100 people, has a May 15 deadline.

H&M's Spring Is a Lesson in Looking Amazing (Minimal Effort Required)

Statement pieces plus basics give way to one pretty flawless (and pretty easy) outfit formula.
H&M Spring Collection 2013

Statement pieces plus basics give way to one pretty flawless (and pretty easy) outfit formula. That's what you'll learn in H&M's latest Spring styling lookbook, where t-shirts, staple cotton maxi skirts, and denim cutoffs are reinvented with embellished tops, textured jackets, and printed miniskirts. It's the "it doesn't take much" approach to elevated dressing that's employed here — just a hint of bohemian print on a sweatshirt or a touch of lace on a skirt has a major effect on how the whole outfit adds up (even when the other half of that look is just a pair of your favorite well-worn Summer shorts). And if you're looking for serious outfit perks that come in the form of just one great piece, you'll want to check out the label's graphic-printed t-shirt dress or revamp on the heat-wave-ready LBD. Just click through to see Frida Gustavsson showing off the latest Spring pieces — and the styling lessons that come with them.

Coachella Couple Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson Party With the Stars at H&M Loves Music

Today's H&M Loves Music pool party was held at the expansive Merv Griffin Estate just outside of Palm Springs.

Today's H&M Loves Music pool party was held at the expansive Merv Griffin Estate just outside of Palm Springs. The bash was the first such event the global fashion brand has thrown in conjunction with Coachella. The festivities featured paddleboat rides and ping-pong tables, carnival snacks including popcorn, cotton candy, and churros, and a live poolside performance by Santigold. Santigold hit the stage late in the afternoon and played some of her biggest hits, including "L.E.S. Artistes," for the crowd. During the soiree, we caught up with Sophia Bush, who was lounging under an umbrella with a group, and spotted Darren Criss taking a turn on the paddleboats. Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson also arrived with friend and designer Jason Wu and relaxed by the pool.

Later on, Diane and Joshua transitioned to the Coachella festival itself, where they shared a few kisses in the VIP sections as bands played. Several famous couples have been making the rounds at the festival this year. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were at Coachella last night, Michael Polish and Kate Bosworth spent yesterday afternoon checking out bands including Beach House, and even Hilary Duff and her husband Mike Comrie made their way out to the desert to take in the first of two Coachella weekends.

H&M's New Model-Inspired Lineup Does Cool-Girl Style to a T

Along with the retailer's Coachella-ready Divided wares, H&M is launching The New Icons, a collection inspired by its campaign models, Joan Smalls, Liu Wen, Lindsey Wixson, and Daphne Groeneveld.

Along with the retailer's Coachella-ready Divided wares, H&M is launching The New Icons, a collection inspired by its campaign models, Joan Smalls, Liu Wen, Lindsey Wixson, and Daphne Groeneveld. And, as you may have guessed by the source of inspiration, the clothes prove just as cool as the ladies wearing them. With a rocker edge that reminds us of Givenchy-meets-Joan-Jett appeal, and a romantic Americana slant that's more Ralph Lauren in the '90s, the latest batch of H&M clothes offers up an easy "road map" for emulating a similar brand of cool-girl styling. We're particularly drawn to the silver-embellished black vest, cream-colored ruffle lace miniskirt, and the drawstring bucket bag both Smalls and Wixson show off in the campaign. Here's your first look at The New Icons collection — available in stores in early April — right this way.

H&M Executive: "Cos For Sure Will Be in America"

H&M's beloved European-only brand Cos and its new label & Other Stories may soon make their way to the United States, according to the retailer's US president, Daniel Kulle.

H&M's beloved European-only brand Cos and its new label & Other Stories may soon make their way to the United States, according to the retailer's US president, Daniel Kulle.

"Everything is in the works and the plans," Kulle told WWD. "& Other Stories has the potential with other H&M brands to come to America. . . We can also take Cos, which has 70 or 80 stores. Cos for sure will be in America. We're looking for an opportunity to open Cos."

The Swedish chain announced on Friday that it has major plans to expand H&M's presence in America. It has some 2,800 stores across the world, but only 269 of those are here in the United States. Forty of the stateside stores were opened last year, and there are currently plans for another 10, including locations in Boston, San Francisco, and Waikiki. It will also bring its home collection to a few stores, including the new Boston location, New York, and New Orleans, this year. Those goods will be available to buy online this Summer, when H&M plans to launch ecommerce in the United States.
