Designers Anna Sui and Nanette Lepore saw a special screening of the HBO documentary, Schmatta: Rags to Riches, last night. Come Monday, Oct. 19, at 9 p.m. EDT, you can too. Unfortunately (or fortunately because it's so expensive!) I don't have HBO but I do love a good doc and maybe it will be available elsewhere at some point.
1I just watched this documentary - It was pretty good and very informative ----
--- it shocked me to find out that only 5% of clothes are now made in the US.... so many jobs lost to other countries....
Besides American Apparel ( which is made in downtown LA ) does anyone know any other "american made" clothing companies.... I want to give them my support!
