Halloween Look of the Day: The Flapper

syako is dressing up as flapper this year and she did a stellar impersonation of Louise Brooks! She pulled together a dropped-waist dress from Intuition, a cloche hat from Kohl's, cigarette holder and cupid's bow lips to ace the mood of the Jazz Age.

hey alillee... I too was surprised at how many people didn't know what a flapper was. I mean, my husband didn't know but he's from Ukraine, so that's excusable - but a lot of other people had to be reminded about the 1920s and flappers and speakeasies. Thanks everyone for your super nice comments. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I enjoy buying all the pieces and creating a fun look.

so i'm going as a flapper the year and i told some gals this and they had no clue what a flapper was. finally, i was like chicago...i'm going as one of the girls from chicago. sheesh!!
