Hats to Wear to the Kentucky Derby

The Kentucky Derby is this weekend, which means one thing, amazing decorative hats, whether you're headed to the horse race or just want a fun statement making piece. Make yourself a Mint Julep and take a look at our 5 over the top hats Bigger isn't always better, fascinators have gotten tons of attention lately due to Kate Middletons love of festive headwear small, but can still make a huge statement. Try wearing the striking pink Fascinator by John Luis with delicate tool and feathers the roaring twenties are back in a big way thanks to the Gucci flapper inspired spring runway. You can channel this look pillbox hat, like this woven version from Assa with a flat top and white feathers. The straw makes this one more daytime appropriate and would look great with the Derby, with a LBD. over-sized hat is very traditional for the horse races, so invest in one you'll wear over and over. This woven hat from Rag and Bone is such a pretty shade of light green and even has a tan leather band and to break up the color. For a more classic spin, try out this woven sun hat by Helene Berman complete with a black rogaine ribbon and matching piping on the trim.
