Courtney Love Joins Marilyn Manson in Saint Laurent's Latest Campaign

Turns out Marilyn Manson isn't the only rock star to appear in the latest Hedi Slimane-lensed campaign for Saint Laurent.

Turns out Marilyn Manson isn't the only rock star to appear in the latest Hedi Slimane-lensed campaign for Saint Laurent. The house is continuing to cement its ties with musicians by featuring Manson, Courtney Love, Kim Gordon, and Ariel Winter in its latest series of ads, called Music Project.

Scene magazine editor in chief Peter Davis tweeted what appeared to be a picture of the campaign last Friday, and today Saint Laurent has revealed all of the pictures. The ads, which feature Saint Laurent clothing old and new, will make their print debuts later this month in magazines like the UK's Art Review, France's Volume, and Dazed & Confused Korea.

Manson and company certainly won't be the first musicians to appear in one of the brand's campaigns. In January, the brand's creative director, Hedi Slimane, released a few shots he took of Beck.

A look at the Music Project, here in the gallery.

Leave It to Kate Moss to Wear Fall 2013's Most Coveted Pieces First

Leave it to Kate Moss to further her résumé of impeccably styled looks with ones taken fresh off the Fall '13 Paris runways.

Leave it to Kate Moss to further her résumé of impeccably styled looks with ones taken fresh off the Fall '13 Paris runways. But if anyone can do it, she can, and she'll wear them first. For us, spotting the British beauty in these just-debuted creations not only signals her loyalty to the designers behind the label, but also supplies us with a cool off-the-runway styling application. Case in point: Moss stepped out at the Kérastase party in London last night in a sexy lace-trimmed, plaid-printed minidress that came down the Louis Vuitton Fall '13 runway only a week ago. In fact, Moss also walked in the show, supporting her longtime friend Marc Jacobs, but modeled a long, sheer blue gown instead of the shorter slip dress she donned yesterday. In true Kate Moss tradition, she topped the mini off with a luxe furry coat and black pointy-toe pumps.

Her Louis Vuitton-clad appearance, pictured above, is actually the second time she's worn a Fall '13 number within days of it coming down a Paris catwalk. To see which Fall '13 look she wore — hint: it's a sparkly one — just keep reading.

Saint Laurent Fall 2013 Runway

Call it Seattle by way of Saint-Germain.
Saint Laurent Runway | Fashion Week Fall 2013 Photos

Call it Seattle by way of Saint-Germain. The Saint Laurent Fall 2013 took a detour into "California grunge," with creative director Hedi Slimane filling the runway with babydoll dresses, slashed leather leggings, flannel shirts, and embellished buckle boots. The YSL signatures were cleverly woven into the collection — "Le Smoking" was a tough elongated tuxedo jacket over a mini, the iconic fur chubbies turned into voluminous fur jackets draped sexily over dresses, and sparkling fishnets (even on full bodysuits) winked at traditional French dressing. We bet that front-row fans like Jessica Chastain and Kirsten Dunst will be snapping up the perfect leather coats — a sharp double-breasted trench was a standout — and the flat boots that accompanied many of the looks. Did we mention the army of black-leather-mini-clad models that came out at the very end of the show? Cool girls from coast to coast, from continent to continent, will be rocking those come Fall. Saint Laurent Fall 2013

Hedi Slimane was in a grunge state of mind for Fall 2013.
Saint Laurent Review | Fashion Week Fall 2013

Hedi Slimane was in a grunge state of mind for Fall 2013. With a booming soundtrack by Thee Oh Sees, models (like Hanne Gaby Odiele, Lindsey Wixson, and Cara Delevingne) hit the runway in barely-there tartan plaid and floral-sequined babydoll dresses, many of which were topped with open flannel shirts or cozy Fair Isle cardigans. But Slimane hasn't lost his rocker edge; there was still plenty of that. Leather was a predominant motif in the collection; it came in the form of slashed leggings, soft peacoats, and a flurry of sexy minidresses that closed the show. The classic YSL motifs were also still there — a bow at the neck, fur chubbies, the Smoking tuxedo jacket — just shot through with a distinct edge. No flou in this lean collection; just storytelling and the craftsmanship that the house is known for.

Sky Ferreira

Saint Laurent Pre-Fall 2013

Hedi Slimane's confident pre-Fall 2013 lookbook for Saint Laurent is filled with largely black-and-white images of Sky Ferreira.

Hedi Slimane's confident pre-Fall 2013 lookbook for Saint Laurent is filled with largely black-and-white images of Sky Ferreira. What better casting choice for a designer so invested in rock and roll?

As he's done with his ad campaigns, Slimane shot Ferreira's largely black-and-white images himself. The offering echoes the glamorous portrayal of '70s classics from Slimane's Spring 2013 collection, but with a refined edge. A sheer polka-dot tunic with bishop's sleeves is paired with a masculine wool overcoat in one image. In another, rounded metal studs and wide armholes give a leather shift presence. Ferreira looks like a rock star in all of the ensembles, but she's most striking in a black leather motorcycle jacket and sky-high booties.

Odelay! Beck Now Moonlighting as Model For Saint Laurent

Well, we guess Beck's doing fine.
Beck Saint Laurent Spring 2013 Campaign

Well, we guess Beck's doing fine. In addition to releasing his latest project Song Reader — a collection of sheet music — last month, the award-winning 42-year-old musician was also featured in the Spring 2013 campaign for Saint Laurent. Beck sat for the photos, shot and styled by the house's creative director Hedi Slimane, in Los Angeles last October.

Beck is the second musician Slimane has shot for Saint Laurent's campaign since he featured singer Christopher Owens in his very first ads for the house. And like the rest of the images, Saskia de Brauw's menswear ads included, these are black and white and mostly feature the brand's suiting — although there's a pretty fantastic hat involved in three of the photos.
