Whitney Port fans who have anxiously been waiting for the release of the Whitney Eve clothing line can finally dress like The Hills star. The first few pieces of the collection have been released and are currently on sale at Kitson. Sequin-lovers can exude disco chic in the Whitney Eve Black Sequin Ozark Dress ($495, left), while those who seek romance in their wardrobe can invest in the Whitney Eve Grey Encino Ruffle Collar Dress ($345, right).
I know, the prices are steep, but if you've got cash to burn, it's a good place to burn it. It looks like Whitney's gal pal Lauren Conrad is already a fan in a red pleated skirt from the collection. First her own reality show and now a clothing line . . . can Whitney's life get any better?

Like LC's collection, these designs are uninspired (though slightly better than Lauren's) and the material looks CHEAP!!! I want to iron Lauren's red pleated skirt FOR her.
1"If you've got cash to burn, it's a good place to burn it"
Yeah, don't support ACTUAL DESIGNERS whatever you do!
Personally if I had 500 bucks burning a hole in my pocket I'd rather splash out on a Philip Lim dress. These pieces look a heck of a lot cheaper than they are, the prices are just plain cheeky, and there are plenty of young up-and-coming designers out there who need my money more than another spoiled rich girl who got a clothing line.
2I feel sorry for the suckers who would drop over $400 on a slip of a dress 'designed' by some reality star (personally, I don't care what her fashion credentials may be, interning at teen vogue and what not)
Honestly, if I had that kind of money to spend right now I'd be splashing out on some items from Marc by Marc Jacobs or See by Chloe or some kickass leather boots.
I'm so f*cking tired of these girls I can't stand it!!
3Looks very cheap.
4The red skirt is a rip off Lauren collection. It the same skirts that Lauren has in her fall collection than in a cheaper material. I would rather buy a simple, comfy dress from Lauren for 200 than spend $500 on Whitney's that look as cheap as rave clothes.
5I was expecting more from Whitney but if this is what she's starting with, it's horrible. I'd rather spend $400 on a DVF or Philp Lim piece than this crap.
6are you guys kidding me? this is horrible, they look more like costume than actual close. I would not spend even a dollar on LC nor Whitney. If I had that kind of money to spend I'll spend it on name designers.
7ok if I have $500 to burn on clothes WHY in the hell would be on Whitney's collection? These ladies need a wake up call.
8now i think these take more designing then LC's jersey dresses and shirts- but yea way too expensive for what they are. if i had 500 bucks i'd definitely be at DVF or Marc Jacobs or Nanette Lepore. Now if Whitney's were like around the $100 mark, I could see them selling well.
9How do they justify those outrageous prices? No one knows her outside of MTV.
10I'm really surprised at the price point of these dresses. I agree with the others - I'd be buying DVF or Marc Jacobs or even something like Theory before I buy stuff like this
11I'm gonna need them to get it together with these prices. Everybody doesn't have money to burn. And honestly, I agree with everyone else-if I had the money to burn, it would be on a different label.
12Thank God I'm not the only one. This "collection" is such a joke.
13Seriously, if I'm splurging on clothes, it will be a real designer, not a "reality" show designer.
14Lame designs, lamer prices.
15i like the gray dress - but i have a feeling that they are only showing smaller scale pieces to the collection, so i'm sure that there will be some good stuff once we see the whole thing. i like whitney and i feel like she's the one that actually has the capability to have talent here. we'll see...
16If I wanted a sparkly black sequin dress I would head over to French Connection or some other trendy store and buy something very similar for much less than $500. I don't really get why all of these girls feel the need to design high price/low quality fashion line. Just because you have "style" doesn't mean you should try your hand at designing.
17This is puzzling
18ilanac, you really think there's better to come? I'm not sure, I mean if you had better designs than these (not hard, they look like they're both variations on a Simplicity Easy Sew "One hour shift dress" pattern in bad fabrics) why would put forward your worst designs as a preview? A "first look" is supposed to generate some buzz and excitement, this posting hasn't even generated one positive response.
19Jesus, the more I look at them the more perplexed I am. Seriously, couldn't they even be bothered to steam the grey dress to try to make it look somewhat appealing????
20I really like the gray dress, but I honestly wouldn't pay more than $50 for it. It belongs in a Target Go International collection. I'm just as confused as to why both Whitney and Lauren think their new collections (which are severely lacking in quality and innovation) are worthy of real-designer prices. As everyone else has already said, if I had that kind of cash to burn, I certainly would not spend it on their clothes. The two of them would be better off doing collaborations like Rachel Bilson's with DKNY, where the prices would be below $100. Very disappointing.
21I'm eager to see the rest of Whitney's collection, because she's got great personal style, but I do think the prices are too high. It's highly unlikely I would buy a piece from her collection when I could get an actual designer piece for roughly the same price.
22If you're going to spend that amount of money on clothes I don't think it should be for the Whitney Port collection. I like her personal style and all but those prices are ridiculous! I'd rather spend that amount of money on a 'real' designer.
23So disappointing. I would rather get myself a pair of Jimmys or Manolos than spend money on this stuff. That grey dress looks like something that I bought at Deb for a Halloween costume, for $10....Wow.
24Man you girls are very hard to please. I actually like the sequin dress...although I must say that the prices are steep, but why are you all hating so much?
25Ugh, I don't like these...I had much higher expectations for Whitney's line.
26say what you will about heidi but at least she's realistic abouth "designing"
27ugh, it makes me sad that she's jumping on this bandwagon. these pieces are cheap rip-offs of elizabeth james and philip lim and the prices aren't even good.
28She's a cutie, but these pieces are over priced!
29I actually like all three designs, but I agree they look like cheap versions of something I could find at forever 21 for a way better price and without supporting that idiotic wh*re's so-called
30"talent" - I bet she doesn't even design, I bet she just looks at the designs and nods her stupid head at the ones she likes...
i dont like then yuck!
i actually like lauren's collection but 2 expensive, but they dont sell it here! and if they did, i wouldnt buy it either
31*them
32nothing special!
33BORING designs! Why is it so expensive to buy a plain dress by a reality show not-even-star? I almost liked the gray dress, but the zipper in the back makes it look sooo cheap! And I swear they have that same skirt at Forever 21 for $10.50!
If I had $500 dollars to burn, I would spend it on a LaROK or Cake Couture dress. Not one of these!
34No joke, I have that red skirt in blue. And I only paid like 7 bucks for it. these girls need to come original and stop relying on the fame to sell clothes. I love me some Whit. but theres no way in hades I'd shell out more than 40 buck for either dress....and thats thats being generous.
35=)
I love Whit, but this collection seems pretty unoriginal.. most of it looks like stuff I could find at Forever 21, in fact, I tried on a dress at Forever 21 that was almost exactly the same as the ruffle collar dress.. and for a fourth of the price..
