Hi, it's Allison McNamara and you're watching FabSugar TV. For today's Currently Trending, I'm here in Malibu at Madison and we're taking a style tip from our three favorite it Brits: Kate Middleton, Kate Moss and Alexa Chung and showing you how to recreate their signature style. The world fell in love with Kate Middleton after the royal wedding and her princess perfect style.
She's always known for wearing designers like Alexander McQueen, and Jenny Packham and also usually goes for things that are kinda conservative and don't show too much skin. Something to always keep in mind when you're channeling your inner Kate Middleton. For this outfit, we started off with this navy chic dress.
It kind of shows off her figure but isn't too tight and isn't too short. Very important. And then we added a very polished feel with this jacket. I love the kind of metallic texture. It kind of adds a little fun, quirky spin to the look. And then further your polished style by putting on some pearls, very sophisticated.
Then on bottom, we kind of wanted to have fun with the outfit. So, we added on a pair of textured T-strap nude sandals by House of Harlow. There are two ways to describe Kate Moss. Effortless rock and roll. And we're really trying to channel that vibe with this outfit here today. We started off with this statement making piece with this cream crochet metallic vest.
It's really kind of cool, very Kate Moss and she always has really interesting outerwear so we thought this was perfect. Then we went with the very easy base. So, a white tank tucked into a pair of denim cropped pants, very streamlined silhouette which is nice underneath this vest. And then, Kate always wears belts so added on a black belt that really accentuates her waist.
And played off that with some strappy sandals on the bottom to kind of add a tough girl vibe to the whole look. To finish off the outfit, we went with a long chain necklace that's really edgy. It's got these cool studs and then played off that with a black studded Valentino clutch.
Alexa Chung is known for her prim and proper ladylike style whether it's a button-up or really girly dress. She always has a very feminine approach to fashion with a twist. So when I walked into the store, we immediately chose this dress for Alexa. It's two tone. Very interesting fabrications with a drop waist and a tweed skirt.
So we had the dress. Now we needed to get a button up underneath naturally 'cause Alexa always wears a button-up, so we pulled out this one with this kind of far Eastern floral print, very unexpected and totally Alexa. because I think it adds a little bit more to the outfit than just putting a basic white button-down underneath.
And then we've got a very girly school girl feel going on here, but on bottom, we kind of turned it on its head by putting on a boy meets girl shoe now to kind of give the whole outfit a downtown city girl vibe. And then to finish it off, a tan ladylike handbag with a little edgy detail to finish off the look.
