OMG, this is a great service. Jess just finished resurrecting my Gucci jeans.! they had become drab and greyish. They are beautiful again, and even the detailing and label remained intact. I always avoided wearing them, yet they are one of my favorite pairs Of course I couldn't find the same style/fit anywhere.I found HMJ from facebook and they were very adorable and fun to work with! Also, you've got to check what your jeans are made of. The more unusual fabrics (ramie, spandex, polyester blends) might not take to the dye....

I do this all the time. Especially when I find a pair of light colored jeans in the store that fit well, I usually dye them dark!Usually the stitching does not take the dye. Designs on the jeans wouldn't take dye either, unless it feels/is very similar to the jean fabric.

Thanks, Sandiego. Does this work on jeans that have designs on the back pockets? My favorite pair of black jeans are embellished with sequins on the back pockets. Rock & Republic Berlin in Radiate Charm. Do you think that would work?

For a much easier fix, try:2 bottles of black LIQUID Rit Dye, 8 oz size1 bottle of dark or indigo blue LIQUID Rit Dye, 8 oz sizeFill your washing machine with hot water (as hot as the clothes can handle), add the 3 bottles of color. Add your clothes and let them agitate for 2-3 minutes. Pause the wash cycle and let them sit for an hour. Then proceed with the cycle as usual. Sometimes I add another rinse cycle so the color doesn't bleed on to my other clothes. If the dye has tinted your wash tub, run another EMPTY cycle with hot water. I have black skinny jeans from Express that I LOVE. I do this to them and some other items a couple times a year. The whole process takes about 2 hours and costs $15.

...or you could do it yourself for six dollars and an hour of your time. same results, its really hard to screw up a black dye bath.
