It's around $400-500/month for me but, that will soon change. My boyfriend and I are saving to buy a house and I know I will have to cut down on my retail-therapy for a while... :cry:

as a law student, my husband has me on a budget of about $200 of fun $$ per month. lord knows i'd spend buttloads more if i could...maybe after i start getting those fat, lawyer paychecks (ha, ha - student loans, anyone?)

Hello!! I recently lost like 40 pounds so nothing I own fits me. I have 1 pair of pants for work and 1 pair of jeans for other. What is sad is that I work in a clothing store and alot of stuff is marked down to 4.99, I can get it for 2.99...but noooooo, after bills, rent, gas, food for babies there is NOTHING left!!! Do you know how angry I am? Do you know how DEPRESSING it is to be around a bunch of cute clothes and not be able to get anything even if it is just 3 freaking dollars? You people with that extra 25, 50 or whatever dollars left over after all the bills (if you even have any) will never realize how lucky you are. I just lost a shitload of weight, my stomach is almost flat I NEED CUTE CLOTHES!!! I will accept donations! :)

Sigh... I'm surrounded by roommates and best friends who spend over a $1000 and I'm 100-200 if i'm lucky! I have two jobs and in school full time and my friends don't work and barely go to school! My dada pays my way for most things just not the extra cash unless i give him a powerpoint presentation explaining how his money will bring a greater return on investment! At least we all know the value of a dollar right?

I hate thinking about numbers when it comes to my shoe collection and wardrobe. Plus, the €uro is quite strong at the moment so conversion to US dollars would not make the deal any better... My comment will NOT mention how much I spend on clothing and acessories per month but on how some people can manage with less than 50 dollars can refresh and spice up their wardrobe! I'm a student myself and work as a nanny (and other short period jobs) to afford myself little things (and somethings bigger ones too). But I see friends who don't get any support at all for their food and rent (I'm quite fortunate to have a mother who can give me some of her salary) and who manage to purchase some lovely items. Second hand clothes and bags are often a great way to get around. There are some fabulous T-shirts and purses you can have on Ebay for very small prices. Crafting is also a great way to create your own patterns on a simple fabric dress for example with special paint, silk ribbons, old lace, etc. No matter how "poor" or "rich" you are according to the response categories you could pick from for this poll, the REAL fashion gig is to be happy with what you got. So to all the "less than 50$" voters : don't worry at all! There's so much fashion fun to have and little treasures to find if you have some time to spend in second hand shops and websites.

Ok..I just did some quick numbers..In May I spent almost $2000 on clothes and 1 purse..I warned my husband I was not cheap!!!

During summer, when I have a job and no rent to pay, it's around $600 (yikes!), but during the school year, I'm on a student budget so I generally spend very little... although I still splurge every few months if I have some extra cash.

Poor student. have to do with less than $50. But if there's a special occasion (SALE!!!) I could spend more than $100 :P. Next year I want to spend over $1000... mwahahahahaha...
