How to Wear a Faux Fur Vest 2011

Hey, it's Allison and in today's episode of currently trending, we're gonna show you three cool ways to wear faux-fur vest right now. We've seen this look on trend setting ladies, like Rachel Roy, Nicole Richie and Rihanna and spotted it on the DVF and Tory Burch runways. So, today we're here at Norsham at the Grove to show you how to wear a traditional fur vest, a cropped version and a bright teal one. For our first outfit, we styled a traditional faux-fur vest that hits right at the hip. We played off a 70's vibe and layered this gorgeous silk blouse underneath in rust, which is the color we're loving for fall. We wanted to balance out the top, so we paired it with a wide leg pant on bottom, and then gave her some height with a great brown shoe. We finished off the outfit with a left [xx] olive bag that pairs so well with rust and then toughened it up with a knuckle ring. For our second look, we put annie in our cropped cream-coloured vest. Now cropped vests can be hard to style, but here we used it as an accent piece to spice up an all black silhouette. We started with a long sleeve black top that we tucked into a high-waisted pencil skirt, but you can easily wear a black dress that you have at home. We streamline the leg with some dark opaque tights and then toughened it up with some fun booties. We completed the look with a neon bag for a bright pop of colour and then some sparkly rock and roll earrings. For our last look we chose this long, bright teal faux-fur vest that reminded us of the Gucci runway and we think it's a really cool piece to wear for a night out. We play with texture by throwing on a pair of leather skinny pants and then kept the base simple with a white tank and kept her arm bare, to show them off at night. We've finished it off with accessories that you probably already have in your closet, like a quilted bag, some basic black pumps and some sparkly stud earrings.
