Pastel shades are at the top of our must-haves list this Summer, so we love how Selena Gomez styled up a soft shade of blue for a night out. She selected a pastel, pleated Versace dress from Spring 2012 for the Alliance For Children's Rights third annual Right to Laugh event, pairing it with pointed-toe nude pumps that lengthen her stems. Watch today's Fab Flash to hear more about her ultrachic ensemble. On Allison McNamara: StyleMint top, House of Harlow 1960 necklace, and Zara skirt.View Transcript »
Selena Gomez uses pastels to perfect easy summer style. Hi. It's Allison McNamara, welcome back to Fab Flash. Selena Gomez stepped out in style last night for a good cause, for the Alliance for Children's Rights event, in a pale blue sheath dress that's ideal for summer. Pastels are one of the hottest color trends this season. We saw them on the runways at Vera Wang, Phillip Lim and Tory Burch. They're light and airy and perfect for warmer months. Selena chose a pastel blue sleeveless Versace Spring 2012 dress and a slitting down one side. She showed off her shape, cinching in her waist with a matching double strapped studded belt. And then on bottom Selena made her legs look extra long by selecting a pair of pointy toed nude heels. We love this color for summer time. We actually spotted Miranda Kerr in a similar shade not too long ago. Selena clearly has been on a Versace kick, because earlier in the week she also wore Versace for her fragrance launch at Macy's. But instead of a dress, she went for a white,x high-waisted short and top combo that showed off a hint of skin in the middle. We love the purple and blue sea-inspired print, complete with starfish and seashells. She gave the look polish with a cream Vanessa Bruno jacket that pulls the whole look together and wore the same pointy-toe nude pumps. All right, so what do you think of Selena's summery style? Let me know below, and make sure to come back here for all the latest fashion updates. I'm Allison McNamara, and I'll see you next time.
